You mean memorial cup?

Bournival could actually start in the NHL this year. He's already filled out, and has a high hockey IQ + NHL speed already. He's also a guy that can play as a checker and very versatile (can play all 3 forwards positions).

It's undeniably one of the softest in the nhl and nothing close to a playoff calibre f-corps.

All the players with size, don't play with size. Bourque, Pacioretty, Cole aren't pushovers but they're not intimidating even though the later 2 do hit.

Gionta, DD, Eller, Plek, Gomez, LeBust don't scare me if I'm clearing the puck from my zone and I weigh 150...

- Pea-Brain

so what if they're not intimidating? they're not soft and they most certainly use their size.

if any Habs prospect makes the team, it will be Gallagher IMO

Gomez, Plek, Eller, Lebust, Bourque are not soft?

Gionta isnt, he's all heart. DD, while using his size, is like throwing snowballs at a brick house.

If I punch someone, you think they will care? No. It's break if I put everything I've got into it but wtf is anyone going to notice?

and THIS is completely wrong by the way

the habs were 11th in the league in Goals allowed, once again all the teams ahead of them are viewed as far superior short of the Coyotes

so i dunno where ur getting ur stats, D is NOT the habs main issue they need to put up goals that arent jus comin from Patches and Cole

http://www.nhl.com/ice/st...ingsGoalsAgainst&type=LEA

Habs are 14th in Goals Allowed.

They scored more goals than, Kings, Blues and Florida. They scored 4 goals less than the Coyotes.

Yes they need ideally to score more goals, but their biggest need is on D.

nothing wrong with a 20-year-old making the roster if he's ready. it's not at all unusual for 20-year-old 1first/second/third round picks to step into the NHL and be effective.

so Habs

- 2nd in PK%
- 11th goals allowed

and this with a 2nd year Subban as their top minute cruncher and without their #1 D

their D is not nearly as bad as some ppl are claiming. but ok

A lot of it depends on who they sign. If they have a spot on the 3rd line, yes Gallagher will. If it's on the 4th line, I sure hope it's Bournival.

They shouldn't commit long term to any D's unless it's a guy like Suter (won't happen). They will try to plug a few holes on D for a 2-3 years until the young guys are ready to make the jump.
- Symba007

Someone please explain the hype arouns Suter to me. I've never watched him, I don't get it. He seems good at everything but great at nothing and yet he will get $7M per?

We're talking about immediately here. About UFA signatures

Signing a forward or two would help, but they need to look at the Defence first.

We've been talking about the next few years. Ideally we'd rebuild but we know that wont happen so long term isnt essential right now.

Ah.
What I meant was, if you have Hartnell/Lucic/Horton baring down on you from one side and Cole/Pac on the other, you're heading for the Hab.

With a full season of Markov, we battle for a playoff spot last year. He wil lbe there the full year this year, add in the QC dream kid and we are conference champs.

i dont think it'll take that long, teams do want Plekanec, teams would want some of our prospect D, and teams would want our #3 pick, i dont think we'll be screwed for very long, Philly pulled it off in one year (a few years back) and they didnt have a Carey Price and New Jersey managed to pul a complete flip after a terrible last year

we've got assets to use...i jus think Tinordi should be the only untouchable
