right i get that but we're talkin about a group thats young and can only get better and this was mostly done in a season without their best D, there's really no reason to be lookin elsewhere especially when the talent pool is deep as shown in the Memorial Cup

Either way im pretty sure Tinordi's gonna make that team, and softeness will be far from the issue at that point, but i guess they could stand to add one more gritty D, but nobody expensive is needed here

- Habitants98

so players that are at least 1-2 years away from making it and 3-5 from making an impact should be counted on as a reason to not sign someone for 2-3 years? Gotcha.

I wouldn't rush any of Tinordi, Beaulieu and Ellis. Let them develop in the AHL for a year, they need to get used to pro hockey and the schedule.

Ideally Tinordi would play in the AHL. The weakness on this team is at D, we need a big MOFO to protect Price for a few years, untill Tinordi is filled out and ready to do it.

nah...got a good team, the system is very offensive, it leaves the netminder unprotected often.

They shouldn't commit long term to any D's unless it's a guy like Suter (won't happen). They will try to plug a few holes on D for a 2-3 years until the young guys are ready to make the jump.

And if you check the number of goals allowed, we're one of the worst team.

PK and defense is not necessarily the same thing

- QuebecPride

and THIS is completely wrong by the way

the habs were 11th in the league in Goals allowed, once again all the teams ahead of them are viewed as far superior short of the Coyotes

so i dunno where ur getting ur stats, D is NOT the habs main issue they need to put up goals that arent jus comin from Patches and Cole

You mean memorial cup?

Bournival could actually start in the NHL this year. He's already filled out, and has a high hockey IQ + NHL speed already. He's also a guy that can play as a checker and very versatile (can play all 3 forwards positions).
