Too true... though I suspect our problems weren't really about who was on the ice. Changing the leadership alone, without one change on skates, may make this a better team.

That said, I hope we draft Nail, and sign Parenteau to play with Pleks.

I think he had been pretty solid most of his career, but he had a really strong season last year in particular.

That is my concern about Allen, you are playing for last year's guy but likely getting the solid (if unspectacular) player from the previous 2-3-4 years ago.

Likely manageable on 2-3 years, but anything longer than that, knowing the kids coming up in the system, might be a bad idea... especially with Kaberle still in the fold.

I suspect Allan will get a 5-year deal.

meh, this team's leadership was equally rudderlesss without him as it was with him. the leadership needs an overhaul anyway so i don't think it's a big deal.
