I have no issue with it, they have to get things set in advance & likely do not have the luxury of adjusting it to please everybody. Enjoy the holiday weekend and at least watch the Memorial Cup Final tomorrow night between Shawinigan & London.

Understandable. I just see it happen in other sports. When a round is over or it comes to the Finals they adjust the timeframe of the current playoff schedule. I'm not complaining about it just wish they didnt have to wait five days to play Game One.

It can suck especially if you have a rooting interest, which personally I do not have so it doesn't bother me at all. However as a fan of the sport I'd just hope it's not a boring final and provides good entertainment.

I am, I've had a blast all week watching the Memorial Cup and checking out draft prospects I'd normally have to watch highlights from because their games normally aren't on TV.

I'm not a fan of either team but a hockey fan at this point. It doesn't bother me that the game is on Wednesday just would of liked to see these two teams go at it earlier than the five day wait.

I understand, it's the nature of the beast when 1 team steamrolls their way through and another doesn't.

Very true. Minus the holiday weekend and the concert you think this series would have started Monday night? I'm really concerned with July when the Flyers season starts for next year.

It's a very good possibility but not likely because game 7 would have been scheduled for tomorrow night had the Rangers won.

Gotcha. Makes sense. So who would you like the Flyers to draft this year? Who has a realistic shot of being there when they pick in the first round? You think they go defense or offense?

Besides would you tell LA you are coming east, we just don't know what city yet but fly over anyway. Doesn't make sense.

For the draft this is probably the order I'd go with:

On defense in likely order Matt Finn, Slater Koekkoek, Hampus Lindolm, Derrick Pouliot, Ludvig Bystrom, Brady Skjei, & Dalton Thrower.

Forwards I'd like would be Pontus Aberg (just signed a new 2yr deal to stay in Sweden) Zemgus Girgensons (heading to Vermont), Tom Wilson, Nicolas Kerdiles (heading to Wisconsin), Colton Sissons , Henrik Samuelsson, & Scott Laughton.

Just messing around with CapGeek here to wrap my head around what would be my "ideal" roster for next year. Note, I made a trade with TOR (JVR and Bob for L. Schenn and Steckel) and didn't resign Jagr.

FORWARDS
Brayden Schenn ($3.110m) / Danny Briere ($6.500m) / Jakub Voracek ($3.000m)
Scott Hartnell ($4.200m) / Claude Giroux ($3.750m) / Zach Parise ($6.800m)
Wayne Simmonds ($1.750m) / Sean Couturier ($1.375m) / Matt Read ($0.900m)
Maxime Talbot ($1.750m) / David Steckel ($1.100m) / Zac Rinaldo ($0.544m)

DEFENSEMEN
Kimmo Timonen ($6.333m) / Braydon Coburn ($4.500m)
Nicklas Grossmann ($3.500m) / Matt Carle ($4.500m)
Andrej Meszaros ($4.000m) / Luke Schenn ($3.600m)
Andreas Lilja ($0.738m)

GOALTENDERS
Ilya Bryzgalov ($5.667m)
Martin Biron ($0.875m)

Feel free to bash this as I was just trying to entertain myself.

Seems pretty solid to me. That team can be a very good one, as usual Homer will have a few tricks up his sleeve. Its never dull in Flyers land

For all you Bryz haters out there, Bryz had #3 and #1 saves on the Top Ten so far in the playoffs on the NHL Network.
