How is your summer concert lineup looking? Any crappy bands that you like coming around to where you live? |

They always screw around with the songs...Shaking the mic into the audience instead of singing...Who wants to listen to 100's of losers singing a song? |

Giroux and Couturier are the next Richards and Carter... - rmiethaner
Not even a close comparison. Giroux is a superstar. They're different players. Couturier is closer to Richards than Carter and will be a good player for them. |

My Devil friends you left out all the low or down national ratings.
Also those combined New York numbers of three local fan bases is simply not good.
Rangers/Devils Game 4 Hits Series Low
Game 1 (5/14/12): 1.28 million
Game 2 (5/16/12): 1.34 million
Game 4 (5/21/12): 1.26 million
Saturday’s Rangers-Devils game drew a 1.3 overnight rating, down 13% from last year’s Game 4 between Boston and Tampa Bay. It may have been hurt by the early timeslot, or the fact that there was a huge dip in ratings in the lone local market, New York. Game 3 drew a 4.2 in the Big Apple, well down from the 6.2 for Game 1 on the NBC Sports Network.
Regardless what local team advanced the ratings in baseball city USA were not going to go much higher. Good thing the Yankees did not play the Mets or Red Sox during this time either.
The Yankees knocked hockey off the backpage for game five. - NYI
This had A LOT to do with the same market being involved. You know damn sure when the Rangers played the Caps and the Devils played the Flyers, Rangers fans were watching Devils games and vice versa. Also, instead of having another region to draw from, like the Devils had with Philly and the Rangers had with the Capitals, there was only one major market involved, also game one was also on NBC, so that had a lot to do with the much better rating, and to go further, NBC canceled the viewing parties which also would contribute to less viewers, although this aspect is probably more minimal than anything. |

I am actually kind of pulling for NJ to win this. Brodeur deserves a cup without the stigma of the "trap, system, defense" label. - rmiethaner
Correct me if im wrong but arent the devils still a trap D team? |

Agreed about Giroux.
Was just trying to be a wise ass about the Flyers organization... |

you are corrected. compared to the rangers they were the like the oilers in the 80's.
brodeur cheated on his wife with his nanny who he ended up marrying. based on this I don't know whether to love him or hate him. it's a coin toss.

The nanny was actually his sister-in-law...maybe that influences your coin toss. |
