I have been on the Konopka train for quite awhile....He can win faceoffs and fight some..Don't know if Hawks will take a swing at him. - Al

There's no point in arguing Sharp's value with someone with a clearly biased view.

You haven't answered my question. What's your source on Hossa's health? |

Got a source? Mine says that's possible but not guaranteed right now. He's making slow progress but still having symptoms.
Are you saying he's completely symptom free right now? - John Jaeckel
I never said he was 100% right now did I? All I said that come October, he will be 100% and ready to go. But go ahead, tell me I'm wrong. Tell me your vision of a still to be determined future is 100% right. I'm used to it by now. :-P
I will give you 100% credit on Brandon Bollig though. You praised the kid time and time again and always said we would all love him once he got to Chicago and he played very well.

My guess its wishful thinking, like many of us, myself included.
Really I'm as concerned with his whiplash injury the first couple months as the concussion. Messing with the spinal column is a dangerous thing. |

However I can tell you I'm basing my opinion on information about Hossa's intentions regarding next season (and beyond), not necessarily his current medical condition. |

Yeah, well you can call it what you want. What it is might be something different. You're very adept at pulling your punches just so you don't go over the ban line.
You said emphatically that he would be ready on 10/1. He has a bad concussion. Your pronouncement would mean he's fine now. Because if he has any symptoms, no one can say when he'll be back. No other way around it.
Funny how you turn it around and make it a shot at me. I'm just calling you on spewing the company line, even if you claim you're not paid to do it.

The solution to this is simple. First game vs SJ, one of the tougher 'Hawks players just lays out jumbo-playoff-no-show-Joe on a clean hit and then challenge him to a fight. He'll put his tail between his legs and you won't have to worry about Tazer's well-being again against that team. |

Me too....however.....They'd want more especially due to the uncertainty with Crosby. |

If it takes a mid level prospect then I still do it.
Pitt can't take much more, cap wise. Which is why the talk of trading him is so rampant. |

I would appreciate an explanation of what exactly it is that I did wrong? I had a difference of opinion with you on Hossa's condition. If your goal is to ban everyone who doesn't agree with you or who provides conflicting information to what you're blogging, then who's the one serving up propaganda? I'm allowed to have my sources, my information and my opinion, and I'm allowed to share them on an open forum (as long as I'm not insulting anyone).
So with that said, please explain what was so offensive that you felt the need to alert the moderators. And I'd rather you do it publicly so everyone understands exactly what is and isn't allowed on your comments board. |

It would be tough for anyone to beat Bolland, Saad and a 3rd..
If the 3rd was a 2nd, I think that would be more than enough.
Staal is really important to Pitt and I understand them not wanting to trade him, but they'd be replacing him with the perfect player for the position they would be trying to fill, while saving money on Staal's current contract plus getting a high-end prospect and a 2nd rounder..
I just posted the same thing in the Pens thread and said I'd be hesitant if it were a 2nd round pick included.
I love Staal and would drool over him jumping over the boards in the 2nd line role after Toews but I'd still be worried because his contract is only 1 more season.. |

I think a 1st would have to be involved if it were Kruger.
Plus, it'd be hard to carry all that money in centers. Unless Bolland could be traded for a good dman after acquiring Staal. |

I suppose in that regard you are correct. That one year remaining is a tough pill to swallow. Still, never underestimate the ability of some GM to overpay. All it takes it's one. |
