JJ basically said the Nyquist, Brunnstrom and Smith were the Wings top prospects like it's all they had which is not the case. Brunnstrom was just a one year UFA signing and not even a prospect...and likely won't even be re-signed. Nyquist and Smith are the most NHL ready and good prospects but doesn't mean they will be the best from the Wings prospect system they have right now.

I said potential because it is all it is at this point and i'm not deluded to think most of them will even reach that potential but i also know that some could and some could exceed expectations just like Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Franzen did. Nobody knows at this point...not me, not JJ and not even the Wings scouting staff and management. This is the deepest the Wings prospect group has been since the early 90's so sorry if most of us Wings fans aren't so sure (like JJ) that none of them will become a star in the NHL.

Would bickell bring a descent return?

I honestly don't want to deal Bickell. He had 1 more year on a great contract and he's a very serviceable bottom 6 forward. He's a UFA at the end of this contract, but I'm sure Stan could bring him back for a reasonable price. He'll never be a superstar, but he's a good depth forward.

THIS is who i think bowman will go hard after. we have a #1 center,2 no #3 centers and just signed a 4th line center. ohhh boy! mayers, bollig & carbomb all out there together ! should be fun to watch!!!! mayers signing means bowman will not go after guys like gausted or konopka, unless he lets bollig walk or plans on using either mayers or carbomb higher up. hopefully stan is going to aim higher like..................STAAL!

I don't think we really have any clue what the Hawks will do especially after Q winning the power struggle with Bowman. We can speculate and throw out trade proposals all day but I don't think anyone really has a real clue of how this offseason will play out.
