Over and over, and over again...

The last 9 years here are the # 2 picks in each draft.

2011 Gabriel Landeskog
2010 Tyler Seguin
2009 Victor Hedman
2008 Drew Doughty
2007 JVR
2006 Jordan Staal
2005 Bobby Ryan
2004 Evgeni Malkin
2003 Eric Staal

Of these 9 guys who else besides JVR doesn't return the # 5 or # 6 pick in this years draft?

- PLindbergh31

Irrelevant. We don't have any of those players. We have JVR.

This Rags team is a (frank)ing fraud. Someone please list every franchise other than the Flyers they currently have an 8 game winning streak against.
- PLindbergh31

Yea, fraud teams normally go to the Conference Finals. LOL

So the Flyers have the guy with the least trade value on that list. Awesome!

Still in the conference finals right? Got to do something right to make it that far.

Who cares what the other team's have. Why do we care about JVR's trade value? I don't want to trade him. Why be optimistic and excited about the future when you can just complain?

If beating a # 7 seed, and # 8 seed in 7 game series impresses you, so be it. Doesn't impress me.

How many times during the 82 game regular season do you figure the Rangers had a 10-10 stretch?

Overall record in the playoffs is irrelevant. I've explained it to you before how the playoffs work. I'll do it again. You have to win 4 out of 7 in a Series to win the Series. You can be 16 and 12 and win the Stanley Cup. Again, a fraud of a team goes to the ECF?

It would be nice if JvR can step up next year. Flyers are going to need him to produce next year especially if they allow Jagr to walk.

You opined that JVR wouldn't be able to get the Flyers the # 5, or # 6 pick in this year's draft, the list I posted just points out how ridiculous it is that a # 2 pick in a draft 5 years ago wouldn't be good enough to acquire an unknown quantity.

You play who you get, you supposed to discount something they don't control? Sure some of it maybe luck good or bad.

Would it impress you if the Flyers beat a #7 and #8 Seed in 7 games to reach the ECF? If you do that and win the Cup, does that mean it's less of an accomplishment? I'll also try again to explain again that every team in the playoffs is a very good team, capable of beating anyone. That's why you see 8 seeds beat 1 seeds. Your logic here escapes me.

If he stays healthy, I'm fully confident that he will.

Give the kid a chance guys. He was on a point per game pace this year before he got hurt.

HOLY SLASH WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

Your mistake is in thinking it's an unknown quantity. It's not. A 5 or 6 pick has high value. All players develop in their own time. JVR is hopefully not a finished product. I'm going to remain optimistic and positive about JVR.

I'm all for the Flyers keeping JvR and giving him another year. However going into next season he needs to take a step forward and really become the player that we all think he can be. I'm done talking about it, I want to see it.

This year injuries crushed his season next year its time to shine.

Pierre speculating the refs let that ridiculous Prust slash on Zajac go because Bernier pulled a Carcillo moments earlier.

I'm currently looking around but is there a current list of the top draft choices of this year's draft? Without TSN here in the states, I'm complete clueless as to what's going on at all.

I'm not sure how many times I have to list the names of young talent we have. I'm with you. There is zero need to move JvR and we should be excited for we have.

what's interesting is Brayden Schenn is ranked second overall in top propects in the league only to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Maybe I'm alone on this but I was extremely impressed with Schenn's second half of the season. I thought he was great from the Winter Classic and on (Including the playoffs).
