I orig thought that as well, but not sure if D'amigo will be ready so I went safe/realistic....Frattin and Kule could switch too...and I'm not including Lombo, Army or Connolly cuz in my world they'll be traded ....if not,
Connolly Bozak Frattin
Brown Lombardi Armstrong
Steckel - JIMI-JAMES
Not a bad problem to have with all the young kids ready to step up and challenge the vets for jobs. This is a big year for the Leafs having all those expiring contracts and a bunch of kids trying to make the big club. |

San Jose is no longer a threat to the Kings. They're on the way down while u guys will be on top of the division for years. |

If The Leafs get Thornton you can guarantee that Franson will be one of the players involved and MacArthur makes a lot of sense as well with his reasonable contract, age and good numbers the past two years. I'd assume there will be another prospect in the mix not named kadri, colbourne, gardiner or frattin |

* I am currently talking to sources with another Western Conference team who looks to be readying themselves for their most aggressive summer to date. More on the details and the team in my next blog, but let's just say "If you aren't going to fire the GM or Coach you have to fire the players. "
is he talking about Van maybe??? Could be interesting to see if they look to trade some big names (other then Lou). Maybe Kesler, Burrows, Beiksa, or maybe the unthinkable the Sidens? - jonathonpeddle
I saw that I think San Jose.... |

We need to win the Stanley Cup against the Devils. Parise will join the Kings ala Hossa. |

I dont believe you have to win the Cup to have players come to your team BUT I do believe that if your team has made it to the Championship series in any sport, I believe players will look towards both teams as a destination. Not just to the team who won it all. |

Jumbo Joe is a no-show. I don't think that would bode well with the Vancouver faithful.

I wouldn't want the Canucks to trade for Thorton, but I think the comments about him being a "no-show" are pretty far off.
He's easily been one of the best Sharks players during the post season the past couple of years. He was pretty much the only San Jose player who showed up against the Blues. I think he's still one of the top playmakers in the league. |

Exactly. That's why I think he would be great on Kesler's wing. |

I beg your pardon, I still have remember him scoring a game winner against us last year at home in the playoffs, and him blowing kisses to the crowd.

The Flyers dont need more depth Defenseman. They need a number 1 guy. Murray is a more physical, less mobil and offensively talented version of Coburn and Meszaros, much like Grossmann is. If the Flyers cant land Suter, and Weber or another top guy is not available, then the Flyers should use thier offensive assets to move up in the draft and pick the next Number 1 guy. |

Yea, I could see that working out pretty well. I assume the Sharks would want a pretty hefty return though. Realistically, I'm not sure if the Canucks would be able to meet the Sharks demands. |
