Might have been sarcastic - Tee-Dot
They actually compare very well statistically.
But sure...I'll try to avoid the comparisons until the rest of the drones decide to jump on the bandwagon in a few yrs.
Yeah about that stee-dot...
Considering that most people see Doughty as the next Niedermayer, you've already said it albeit indirectly.
But either way, Gardiner being the next Doughty is hilarious.
I guess PK Subban is the next Doughty too.

When you compare defenders, you predominantly do it off of points, ice time, and +/-...
gardiner, although not on that level yet because he hasn't established the consistency, is definitely a comparable.
I know this might be hard for you to stomach because he's a leaf and all...but the numbers don't lie.
but I think it's completely idiotic to say Gardiner doesn't have the tools and potential to be compared to some of the best in the game today. |

Not watching. I don't pretend like I care about something because a guy from the same province as me is preforming. |

TKO in the 5th round. He didn't win a single round.
And if I was him, not sure I would want a rematch in Mtl... |

Yes, Dustin Brown blatantly hit Roszival. As 99% of hits are. I don't know too many hockey players who blatantly go knee to knee with someone though. You have pretty much the same risk of injury as the guy you're hitting, especially when you're both at speed.
That said, he didn't even hit him in the knee, it was the thigh, and it wasn't the principle point of contact. If it was blatant, it would have been, well, blatant. The simple fact so many people disagree with you should prove it wasn't blatant. Blatant, by dictionary definition, would imply it was obvious he meant to go knee to knee. It was not obvious. Your opinion may be he meant to, but it does not make it blatant. Torres' hit, that is blatant. Obvious to everyone. Brown? No.
Brown has never been a guy to intentionally injure players. He is a hard hitter.
With all due respect, your opinion of the hit < the facts of the hit. |

Meh. It's a fast game and split second reactions are made. Broken down in super slo mo, anything can seem blatant.

He's no solid dman like that's on the habs that's for sure. Maybe one year the Leafs can luck out and find a gem like those guys. |

How great was that Jay game? 2 run lead in extra innings and blow it like they did. Not even the Leafs can do that. I don't know if it's funny or sad. |

Honestly, the Jays are much closer to contending for post season play than the Leafs.
They are making mistakes but look to be on the right direction. |
