I was hoping none of you would have seen that one.

see, problem is, you log on to sportsnet.ca and BOOM! interview with Dave Nonis. Conference finals in basketball, hockey, Euro/World Cup qualifying around the corner, MLS and baseball in full swing. this poop is unavoidable.

We'll get to see our own Emelin next season. Didn't the Leafs sign some 26 year old former pick from Russia lately?

Alexei Emelin took gold home with a powerhouse Russian squad that essentially slaughtered its competition at the World Championships of Hockey. And he was among their best players in the tournament. Strong feat for the young Russian, ahead of an important contract negotiation with newly minted GM Marc Bergevin.

What will he be worth to the Canadiens, as a 26 year-old restricted free agent who can easily sign short, and go to unrestricted free agency in a year?

What should the strategy be with him? Can they keep him at a reasonable number for this season and negotiate a new deal later on, to avoid a tough situation next summer?

In this new era of Canadiens hockey, is it safe to assume the days of not signing players during the season are behind us?

so, a 26-year-old playing well on a stacked National team not playing the best players the world has to offer and this sits well with Montreal media?

boy, those are some mighty high standards that have been set in Montreal.

You know what I don't get? Why don't the people here who watch the MLS games at least try to make soccer their own? I think it'd be pretty cool if they treated it like they do hockey or football. They don't have to emulate the euros. It might even make it a bit more exciting with a different atmosphere.

I love when they chant na, na, na, na, at the Bell Centre especially when it's game 30 of the season.

Then they complain how the 'football' here isn't as good as it is in their homeland. And when you say immigrants do you mean fake ones like Rick and Marinaro?
