Over Detriot? Wouldnt be too sure about that
- Rally_Shots

Really? In 3 years, Lidstrom will be gone, Datsyuk will be 37, Zetterberg and Franzen will be 35, Kronwall will be 34.

ALL of them have had as bad or worse injuries than Hossa has, who is the only Hawk core guy who will be over 35 then.

Sorry, I'm not that sold on Gustav Nyquist, Fabian Brunnstrom and Brendan Smith (albeit potentially good players) as the building blocks of a dynasty.

So yeah, I'm sure.

It was one of you clowns from Buffalo...all posting the same nonsense trying to dump your crap in our laps for Kane...No thanks!

If Kane were ever to be traded to Buffalo, Myers has to be at least one of the pieces coming back to Chicago...not an overpaid smurf in Roy, or an overpaid bad D-man in Leopold. We already have one of those from Buffalo in Montador...

From ESPN Insider...(call me skeptical)

There's word Team USA teammates F Zach Parise and D Ryan Suter want to hook up as free agents with the same club this offseason. Specifically, the Detroit Red Wings.

Gregg Krupa of the Detroit News reports it's a "common assumption ... Parise and Suter are intent on signing together with a new team". While the Red Wings are reportedly sweet on both 27-year-olds, the feeling is allegedly mutual.

"I am assuming that, at least as of right now, they are a package deal," one NHL team official told the Detroit News. "They certainly seem to have set it up that way, themselves."

Before we get too ahead of ourselves, there's still a very reasonable chance Suter re-signs with the Nashville Predators. And as Parise continues to compete for the Stanley Cup with the New Jersey Devils -- a game away from clinching a spot in the Final -- there's little point in speculating too much further on his future.

However, if Parise and/or Suter end up free agent market-bound, Detroit seems to be a preferred destination. As individuals, or an unofficial two-some.

The Wings have about $44 million committed to salary for 2012-13. Assuming Tomas Holmstrom retires, Brad Stuart heads for the west coast, and Jiri Hudler signs elsewhere, the club will have sufficient cap space to accommodate both stars without issue.

ESPN further proves how clueless they are when it comes to covering hockey. Every Detroit homer is putting this grand theory out there because they see what's coming. The end. And a massive rebuild.

Yes please answer why me being a Sabres fan has any effect on my opinion that the Blackhawks may not be better than the Red Wings over the next 5-10 years.
- Rally_Shots

In theory, you might not know that much about the Western Conference. You need to look at the ages and rcent injury histories of the Red Wings best players, then compare that with Chicago. Also Detroit's prospects are really no better. Maybe not as good.

Good call, someone from Buffalo posted an idiotic trade so lets paint a picture that every Sabres fan thinks that way

I think a suite can't be opened by buying only a couple of tickets for a particular event...It might be like 12, otherwise it stays dark.

Its more like 20 tickets, $5000, all you can eat or drink. My company looked into it this past season for an outing.
We passed.

Other than Myers you have nothing to offer. Maybe Ennis if we were looking for another small finesse forward, but you being a Sabres fan and not knowing about winning because lets be honest your team is a dissapointment year after year, you dont validate your stance with any facts as to why Detroit will be better. Read JJ's post above and then understand why your wrong.

The Red Wings are one of the best franchises in sports. They've made the playoffs the past 20 years in a row. I mean this in the nicest way but the Hawks have been good for 4 years now. The Chicago management has not shown the consistent excellence that Detroits has. I realize your core group of players is younger and the Hawks will be a good team but to be absolutely positive that they'll be better is a reach.

I'm not busting on the guy. But I do think fans of teams in one conference often don't really understand the ins and outs of the other conference's teams that well. This borderline pipe dream/blog-invented nonsense about Suter/Parise is a machination of Detroit fans who realize their best players are getting very long in the tooth and will not be around or very good much longer.

Look at the ages and the injury histories of their top players, their younger players and their prospects and tell me who they'll have in 4-5 years— one guy— who will be better than Toews, Kane, Seabrook, Keith, or even Sharp.

One guy.

Otherwise, you are just dealing in vague b.s.

THE SABRES ARE IN THE EAST AND BLOW! YOU ARE IN A MESSAGE BOARD SPEWING ABOUT THE WINGS AND HAWKS LIKE YOU WATCH EVERYGAME. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. GO BACK TO GARTHS BOARD AND DAY DREAM ABOUT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS. DONT COME OVER HERE AND TROLL WHEN YOU ARENT KNOWLEGEABLE ON THE TOPIC LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HERE. YOUR SABRE FANS COME OVER HERE ON EVERY THREAD AND PROPOSE MISERABLE TRADES FOR PATRICK KANE. YOUR BEST PLAYER DOES NOT TRY AND YOU SHOULD GO DISCUSS THE ISSUES PEGULAVILLE HAS INSTEAD OF COMING OVER HERE LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT.

State income tax going to 5%, no city income tax.

Higher property taxes than most states because almost all school funding comes from local property taxes.

But - they're all deductible.

And Suter and Parise did so becasue they became UFA's in the same summer...
