Another heart attack seventh game? As long as they win, I can handle it...I guess. - MidnightMarauder
Well you know it won't end it 6 for the Rangers. Them and 2 game advantages in series just don't mix |

The big dogs need to show up for once in this series. I am waiting for Gaborik, Cally, Richards to be difference makers. They haven't been yet. |

Richards and Gaborik have been horrendous this series. Callahan is probably playing hurt because he is usually better than this.
Richards and Gaborik just haven't been a factor at all. |

Yea...I am not going to doubt Richards though. Cause everytime I am about to he comes up with a huge play to help save the Rangers. Hopefully he still has it in him.
Gaborik, I have no clue what is going on with him |

Anyone who thinks this series is over is diluted, Rangers have been here before and Hank will be a brick wall come Wednesday. |

I didn't say the Rangers were gonna win or look past tonight. I was just saying I don't expect physical trouble...like fighting. Also just commenting that the Devils have been outplaying the Rangers why keep changing the lineup? Why not just keep doing what they're doing? Seems like a kneejerk reaction. - DONMURDOCH14
....Guessed wrong here. Although it wasn't much of a fight anyways. |

Who's saying it's over? It's a three game series with 2 games at MSG? Nobody can be thinking it's over. |

There's plenty, Rangers and their fans not giving up on us, NBC is already working on the promos while Milbury and Jones plan the Rangers elimination speech. |

Milbury was an ex-Islander GM. Jones is obviously a Flyers homer from his days with the Flyers broadcast. What to you expect? They don't like the Rangers and it's pretty clear, but realistically, you know the league wants the Rangers to win for the sake of ratings. Although NJ is still technically the New York market, the ratings that an LA-NY showdown should be off the charts, considering its the two largest cities. |

Milbury is a tool. He likes one team and one team only.
As for Jones, while I don't mind him, he is a complete Flyers' homer.
Point being, anybody who knows anything about the game, knows that this series is far from over. The way each team has responded after losses makes that clear enough. We live here, so we can feel the intensity building as well. |

That reminded me of the ass beating NJ laid on us in early March, the game where Boyle said "The Devils hated us, they wanted to kill us." Which precipitated the brawl at the start of the next gm.
There is no excuse to come out that flat AGAIN in the ECF, we keep playing w fire we are eventually gonna get burned here. |

I tuned out the moment the clock struck 0 last night, this stuff is too emotionally exhausting after wins, let alone losses sometimes. No matter the outcome here, we all need a vacation! |

This loss was earned by the entire team, Lundqvist excluded.
Still waiting for Richards and Gaborik to realize that the team they play for is still playing in the postseason. |

Whether Torts wants to admit it or not, I think the Rangers recent struggles can be traced to the fact that they are the more tired team. They don't have the legs that the Devils do, and as a result, they are losing puck battles, and the Devils have the puck way, way too much. Thus, the Rangers are pinned in the defensive zone to often, and have to resort to good positional play, blocking shots, and hoping that Hank can bail them out.
The Rangers game, when they are on, is forechecking, cycling the puck in the offensive zone, and establishing their offense from behind the opposition's net. How often have we seen long stretches in this series when that has happened?
For the first time in these playoffs, I am really nervous about the Rangers prospects. As much as the Sens and Caps series went to 7 games, and I was obviously nervous about that, in both of those series, I thought the Rangers were the better team. Now, because of fatigue, I don't think that anymore.
The Rangers better find their legs, and they better find them soon, because I don't think that the way they are playing now is sustainable. Sure, Hank can steal games, but how much can we really expect that he can do that, when the Rangers simply aren't getting enough offensive chances to even find the opportunistic goal.
Plain and simple, the Rangers need to get much better. Otherwise, I don't see this ending well. |
