Brodeur has been fantastic, but certainly he wasn't alone - Stevens, Neidermeyer, Rafalski, Daneyko, etc - they were the perfect team for the clutch and grab years of the NHL. Those guys crushed me plenty during the Lindros era.

he's been much better in this series than against the flyers, but he hasn't exactly needed to be patrick roy in 1986 either.

i disagree, but i'm starting to be ok with the idea, if it's at the expense of the kings. i'm unhappy with this line of thinking in myself.

Much rather see the Devils win than the Kings. Hell I'm still hoping the 'Yotes find some way to eliminate the Kings.

True, the Devils outworked the Flyers to win the series. It sucks because pretty much all the guys on the roster were likeable, this team just makes you want to see more because of how many of the young guys performed so well.

i'm very excited about the next few years for this team, especially if bryz plays like he did in phoenix.

I agree with this.

I've been saying that this is the first year of my life that I'm not disappointed so much to see the Flyers lose, so much as there simply aren't any games for months. Usually it's the other way around....

Also, I'm not in a hurry as others to trade a young forward for a promising defensemen. Now, if it involves an established veteran who still is in his prime (ie Weber and Seabrook), then Homer needs to make a deal. However, guys like Bogosian, etc, I'm not as quick on the trigger. Guys like Schenn, JVR, and Voracek I think are just going to get better. Read and Coots are just about untradeable because of their cap hits and what they bring to the team with offensive and defensive versatility.

You don't think a player like Bogosian is going to get better?

Doc has jumped the shark. I used to like him, but his constant quest to make every word a verb has gotten beyond old.

In relation to the upward curve of the players I mentioned in my earlier post - "no".

Understandable, and you could be proven right in the future. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Flyers do something at the draft, the club usually always is aggressive and willing to take chances.

Also, if Carle is indeed going to be resigned, I would be very suprised if the Flyers are major players for Suter.

I don't know about Suter. I think based on the history of Holmgren. If Suter remains unsigned, the Flyers will stick their nose in there.

Del Zotto was horrible and deserved to get benched.

I know you and many other Flyers fans are circle jerking over this game tonight but while doing so at least keep an eye on the details.

If the price gets north of $6.5 million, you think so? It will be interesting to see how Suter's free agency plays out. If Carle is indeed signed before free agency, the next best d-man after Suter would be Oduya I believe. I'm just not sure Suter is in the top end cap hit for d-men (north of $6.5 million). I'm not trying to diminish his skill level because he is a very good d-man.

I'm not saying that they will sign him. I'm saying they will get involved in talking to the player and seeing if he's a fit. And do their due diligence on the player. Do I believe that Suter is worth a franchise level deal? Absolutely not.

I agree with you on the due diligence. Last year, the Flyers did the same thing with Brad Richards.
