I thought the Flyers were outplayed badly in most of those games. It was quite mind boggling that they couldn't even get the puck out of their own end. What was even more embarrassing is going almost an entire period before registering a shot. The Flyers looked like a team that was in last place playing against the best team in the league. The Flyers had a lot of injuries but the execution was piss poor throughout that series. - stveshdy
they were flat out awful. when the blow, they really blow. on some level, i prefer they lost this way, rather than competing like hell, and losing in a 7 gamer. they're a much better team than what they showed against NJ.

They likely get more out of Heatley with a healthy Koivu. He's their best player and he missed most of this year. - mochoson
Didn't realize that hes 29 yrs old and that his cap hit is 6.75M
Hes a very good player but his offensive production has never been that outstanding. |

The forwards seemingly lost every board battle in either end, it was unbelievable to watch. The Flyers are a cycle team, who couldn't cycle against the Devils. They absolutely killed the Pens along the wall. - ravishingone
I agree. The Flyers didn't get the job done. The Devils executed and deserved to win. |

Richards definitely brings a lot to the table. But you can't judge the deals on the results of the first year. The Flyers have been eliminated in the first round with Richards, too. He's been important in LA, but Quick, Brown and Kopitar have been more important pieces to the Kings' run. - Jsaquella
On the other hand, the Flyers did something this year that they never did with Richards and Carter, and that is beat the Pens in the playoffs. |

With the organizational depth at defense, I just wonder if the Flyers wait to the trade deadline to address the defense. I think the players currently in the organization can hold the fort until the trade deadline. If Weber doesn't sign an extension, the Preds would probably be inclined to move him at the trade deadline because they would get very little in compensation next summer. |

I'm not banking on Weber even being available. I think they let Suter walk and sign Webe to a mega deal. The Flyers need to look elsewhere for another top notch defenseman. Will see what happens. |

Certainly you can't bank on Weber. Weber holds all the cards in negotiating with the Preds. No one really knows if he is happy staying in Nashville long-term. Even taking Weber out of the equation, there are always veteran rentals available at the trade deadline just like this year.
I'm not eager to trade a forward for a young defenseman who might turn out to be a top 4 d-man. The only d-man I would have interest in trading for is Seabrook and I doubt he is available.

Rags playing without a suspended Prust, and that genius Tortorella who already doesn't play his 6th d-man, decides to dress a 7th d-man. Stellar strategy, and amazing Organizational depth these Rags have.
Playoff game # 18, and the Rags have been held to 3 goals or fewer every game. PATHETIC! |

True that. The fact their going six games with the Celtics is a miracle in itself. I actually think they will win next game and force a game six. How I have no idea. If I was coaching against the Sixers I would play a zone and force them to shoot jump shots cause they dont have anyone who has a "j" imo. |

That City of Boston knows how to win, unless they are playing the Giants in the Super Bowl, then they get their skulls penetrated. |

You seem mad...why you mad?
Scored four in the first game and they have held opponents to three or less in every game. The latter fact is NOT PATHETIC

Yes, it's really pathetic that the Rangers are in the ECF. Are you really serious with this?

The Celtics are also not that great, especially considering their age and the compressed season. |

Boston was playing well down the stretch during the season. The Sixers were going backwards and got lucky to even make the playoffs. Boston is a veteran team with more talent in the starting five than the sixers. Oh well doesnt matter because whoever wins this round wont beat Miami or Indiana. |
