yeah but he hurt an important part of our team. Volchenkov is a key piece of our team. thats like carter hurting Girardi. nice try
- K-dizzle

Volchenkov is our #5 D man. Not sure he is key right now since he hasn't been great.

I'm making a point. Yeah he hasn't shined in the playoffs (mainly the 1st round). And he doesn't put up big numbers but he does the little things that nobody gives him credit for. Hes a presence out there that is felt. Hes known for his physical play hes a defensive dman. He is the only one that can really hit people or Salvador on out back end.

Got to say Rangers have played this same way all season long and it has just somehow worked the whole way...teams like Ottawa and Washington and now the Devils are experiencing the same thing.. Really does have to be frustrating
- leightons5hole

The rangers were far more dominant during the reg season
when they were on their game - which was most of the time.
They have really struggled in the playoffs so far - very few
dominating games (2? 1?) - just some great periods and unreal
play of Lunqvist. Not sure why they appear to be a lesser team
in these playoffs other than inexperience. it's kind of hard to
believe they are coming up with the necessary wins but there
must be something to it since they continue pull it off.

For sure, that - but also that they manage to score 3 goals
in the 3rd period twice against NJ after barely hanging on for
much of the rest of the games. In the 2 previous series they
were never able to get more than a one goal lead (if they even
had a lead) THE ENTIRE TIME but then could somehow control
their fate in both game 7s...there's something to it, I tell ya

They are getting opportunistic, that's it. They get their chance, they wind up scoring. That's all it takes, one slap shot or wrist shot is perfectly placed to beat Broduer clean, and the next thing you know, the Devils are down 1-0 and frustrated that their repeated chances don't go in but a simple wrist/slap shot does.

was it an elbow to the back of the head? was he injured after?
- K-dizzle

A shot to the head is a shot to the head and no DZ did not go down, nor did he imbelious!!

Embellish.

Volchenkov's was an elbow with the hard elbow pad, right into the back of the head. Nine times out of ten, a player is going to go down on a hit like that.

I think I know the play he was talking about. Parise jumped to stop the puck from going up the wall? Thats the only one I saw close. So if this is the play he is talking about It looked like mdz head kicked back. But was parise's intentions hit him? Was he going for the puck? Is he a role player with a history of suspensions?

Obviously it's not bad if your the only one complaining about it... So with that I think the NHL should suspend Parise the remainder of the playoffs for accidentally touching a new york ranger.

Must win game tomorrow. Hopefully the new lines work and we can get some offense. Prust is out for them, he is basically a 3rd liner shutdown guy. Not a offensive threat (1 point in 17 games) but he is a top pk forward for them. Our PP hasn't been great, gotto get it going.

I saw a closer angle while watching the kings-coyotes game, Parise was on his feet when he made contact. Not dirty at all.

Torts. Crosby doesn't do that crap as much any more. Did early in his career for sure.

Plus, Crosby keeps it on the ice. He's done a bit of female doging about head shots but that's more understandable seeing what happened to him.

I was being facetious about Crosby. Its just funny to see rags fans complain about him and torts call their whole organization arrogant.

Torts is the only coach i actually hope takes a clearing to the dome. And to the rag fan trying to defend prust and vilify Zach. GTFO your team is one of the dirtiest in the league. Are team plays with some class unlike yours.
