almost forgot. around 4am this morning eklund was tweeting that there was a top notch goalie who knows he absolutely will be traded at the draft, no one knows he's gonna be traded (i.e. not luongo or t.thomas, etc)

Kiprusoff?

Here is some old news I found.

Saturday could be the last time that Miikka Kiprusoff dons a Calgary Flames uniform. Kiprusoff has two years remaining on his contract but this off-season will be the first time the no-movement clause in the contract will expire. There are many reports out there that the Flames need to start re-building and the first change could be in goal where Kiprusoff could fetch a lot of assets in a deal. "He’s our heart and soul," Curtis Glencross said. "Our backbone. He’s the one who gives us a chance to win most nights." He has been very good once again this season as he has 35 wins with a 2.35 GAA and .921 save percentage in 70 games. Stay tuned in the off-season as it should be interesting. Apr 7 - 7:21 AM

He is the only legit goalie (with a history) that I can see being traded that many wouldnt expect. I could see Calgary rebuilding their team with Kipper and Iginla being traded.

I'm now convinced that the NY "Horseshoes" are destined to win. Amazing.

if that's the case, which makes total sense, it's too bad we got bryz last year. but hopefully he can return to being an elite goalie next year. i have faith he can. the team as a whole will have to play better defense in front of him.

Rags have played a tremendous team game. They have taken 5 penalties, allowed 9 odd man rushes, and held the Devils to 25 scoring chances.

Can you imagine if Bryzgalov was the Rangers goalie today, they would be down 10-2, and all the fans would be screaming how the goalie was hung out to dry by his team. To win a Stanley Cup a team needs games like today, where the team is significantly outplayed and the goaltender steals the game.

Amazing how this Krieder was taken right off the ice from Boston College, never played a regular season game before, and is light years ahead of Van Riemsdyk.

I don't like excuses. Just get it done which the Flyers weren't able to do this year. Everything is going right for the Rags.

Not really everything going right. For the most part in this series the Devils have carried the play, and Lundqvist has stolen games.

Have you seen this Kreider kid in these playoffs? He's had the same career path as JVR, and is the same type of player, a power forward. The kid is dominating and playing on the Rags top line for a taskmaster coach having never played an NHL game before the playoffs. Do you know how hard that is to do?

Even when their outplayed they get lucky with their goals. Their a destined team at this point. They have played decent this playoffs but they get some luck along the way an you need that to win at times.

Not really overreacting. Comparing players with the similar career paths. Major difference is Kreider wasn't the # 2 pick in his draft class.
