Waste???

Please read my above post, there are WAY more chances for the pick to be wasted by picking Galchenyuk than by picking Forsberg.

as long as you're sure.

I read that Galchenyuk was compared to Hossa skill wise and i have an hard time comparing Forsberg with Alfredsson since they are quite different physically. Where did you read that Forsberg is #2 overall talent? First time i hear it seriously.
- Habsody

He's #2/#3 on the ISS' list that regroups both Euros and NA players.

there are 693 different ranking systems out there. someone has him number 2. a month ago he wasnt top 5 anywhere i dont think.

For the record I think either would be a fine pick and am just being argumentative for the sake of it

There are a lot of rankings its true but the NHL's central and the ISS' are probably the biggest/most recognized ones.

They also put Grigorenko over Murray which makes me wonder how accurate their analysis are...by the way, i have nothing against Forsberg; he will be a good player but from what i've seen Galchenyuk has a lot more offensive upsides.

Galch is #4 on the NHL's NA players only draft list... That IS pretty low (all things relative, lol), puts him at 5th or 6th when you add in the euros.

Now tell me again how the habs should pick an injured #5 draftee with the #3 pick?

For the record i agree that both guys are good picks (they're top 5 after all) but my point still holds that Forsberg has the better ratio risk:reward.
