It's hard to evaluate our prospect since we have a lot of them in the USA. Maybe Kristo will graduate from University at 32 and come play with the habs if he is still playing hockey by then.

Kristo is doing his PhD in podiatry, he will be in school for a while.

They will bury Gomez, buy out Kaberle ( trade him at the TD). Getting rid of these contracts and keeping/signing the young core of this team, including what little it has for prospects is far more important than winning right now IMO. Unless it is Pleks being traded, trading anyone else of any value is just dumb unless Columbus doesn't want their 1st rounder next year... Stay the course, suck another 2 years and rebuild, pick up a UFA or two if you can. Draft a 1st round center with size and skill.

nah they won't.

He should come riot in Montreal. He would feel at home.

The CBA will be change this summer. And one of the things the owners want is to not have guaranteed contracts, just like in the NFL. The CBA ends this September.

So after the lockout, Montreal will just cancel Gomez contract. And hopefully they will do the same with Kaberle.

No big surprise there. The team hasn't shown any improvements with him.

He looks even less interested in playing with the habs than McDonagh was.

I think Timmins will surprise everyone and draft a guy who is rank 15th. Just like they did with Price.

Turris was drafted 3rd in 2007, while guys like Mcdonagh was 12th, Pacioretty was 22th, and Perron was 26th.

Hopefully Timmins won't screw up.

When drafting a player, they should interview the guy first. Would Timmins still draft Kristo if he would of told him he was planning at staying in school for another 6yrs?

That is the thing. He was rank really high by the ISS.

Hopefully when it comes to drafting, Timmins has his own list and doesn't go by the ISS one.

Remember Angelo Esposito. He was ranked 1st at the start of the year. Then fell all the way to like 8th. And when the habs pass on him and drafted Mcdonaugh at 12th, the french media was pissed off.

I don't even know where Esposito is playing now. But I am glad Timmins pass over him. Too bad Gainey was a bad GM.
