Well Huddle, if NJ wins it all and give up the 30th you're in the clear you're fugered now jumping the gun.

Dansk to NYR isn't fair Rask & Thomas unfair.... more so actually.

Heh. At the end of the day... it's a fun run down of 30 players who could go first round.

I am PRAYING that the Leafs can snag one of Vasilevski/Dansk/Subban early in the 2nd.

Goalies are such a high risk at 18 years of age you really have to be sure of your talent. There are a few who have proven out as great choices like Price and Fleury. But there are a bunch who have faded when they moved up in competition.

Sweet man, at first I thought you just ranked everyone by potential or something, but the list I really wanna see is the Draft order, like what team with pick what guy based on need and team situations, so Grigirinko might be ranked 4th or something but might be taken 7th for example.

I can't wait to see what you think the actual draft will look like man. Awesome.

it would actually be a very wise move, I am all for it

Henrik is also a UFA after 2 more years. Not that I don't think that they'd bring him back, but it's always good to be prepared, and the Rangers are stacked in prospects up front and have probably the best young blue line around.

Especially after we sign Justin Schultz

Hahaha! Ya right. A team that is going to the cup finals this year with great D pairing want this kid so they can either use him in the AHL or give him 10-12 minutes a night in the NHL.... Garuntee he won't sign in NY. The NHL is not about "Friends" being on the same team either.

Fair enough, but Price and Fleury were both top 5 picks and pretty much exceptions to the rule.

Young goalies need to be drafted in order to be developed. I don't think using the Leafs' 2nd round pick (35th) to draft Vasilevski/Dansk/Subban would be a mistake if any of those goalies are still around.

The bottom line is that 95% of players that are drafted are a crapshoot.

Rangers definitely need a good goalie prospect in the pipeline. Hank has five or six elite seasons left; Dansk would be served well to learn under a great pro like Lundqvist.

Goalies typically take at least 5 years to develop. Don't want to be put in the awkward situation where our future goalie is still 2-3 years away by the time you need him.

5 years is about right. I mean Markstrom was drafted in 08, and we're heading into the 2012/2013 season.

Brian, I think Dansk may very well be the best goalie in this year's draft but I DO think he might be the first goalie off the board. There's no worry about him fitting in over here or playing on the small rink. He's basically a goalie version of Gabriel Landeskog.
