i just thought of this and find it interesting. we have a potential finals match up of a team that beat 1,2+3 seeds by basically sweeps and meeting a team that beat the 6,7+8 seeds by playing basically 7 game series. not only that but a 1 v. 8. crazy
I'm pretty sure a 7 million dollar winger is not on our needs list right now. The team needs to get a 1-2 defensemen first and foremost. Not sure why we all cant agree on this. Another forward isn't the answer. If we're gonna spend 7mil on a forward it had better be on a Stamkos or a (and I hate to say it) Malkin. Nash is a great player, but his cap hit is just too heavy. - hereticpride
I agree about Nash, especially since the Flyers would have to trade for him. But if they add a top-flight forward (ala Parise), it would make it easier to trade from among forward depth to improve the defense.
Didn't get on here yesterday, but got caught up on it today. Nice article, Bill. While I hope JVR plays here and wins here, if the team needs a defenseman and can improve the forwards via free agency, I would understand the Flyers' trading of JVR to make the team better. As long as it does, in fact, make the team better.
