He paniced at switched up these exact lines for the previous lines after game one of the Flyers series, and look where that got us. Fact of the matter is, ten or so games left in the season, he experimented with the lines, and he has two sets of lines that he reverts to, the lines we have now, or the lines separating Kovalchuk and ZP. The Devils have responded well to line-up changes though.

Harrold gives us a little more in terms of getting the puck to the net. He is a lot better in the offensive zone and more creative. You are looking way too far into the line-up changes.

EDIT: And one thing that goes underestimated, these lines have chemistry, especially that Sykora-Elias-Zubrus line. They can bite you in the ass, and the Henrique line, in my opinion, singlehandedly one us that game seven against Florida.

no no no. we're doomed. we can only hope the 3rd line makes a difference. Elias and Zubrus can't carry Sykora. I just don't see that 2nd line doing work. If anything, I would've kept the lines the same and just switch Zubrus and Clarkson.

We need some more production out of Parise and Elias. 8 points for Parise and 5 out of Elias is not even close to enough. I'm just hoping that these lines can do some damage. We need something out of Clarky too. Also some 4th line magic from round 1 would be nice. Zidlicky needs to be better, as does Salvador.

Came out flat to start this period. Followed that up with two unnecessary offensive zone penalties.

Two garbage-type goals scored by NYR. But when you dominate physical play and flow as they have in this period, that's what happens.

Very disappointing after doing so many good things in the first period.

Our fourth line should get regular shifts until the team can find their legs. They're effective because they put they work hard and keep it simple.
