Now the media complains about it. Tortorella, jerk or not, has been fined twice for comments. He deals with media almost as bad as some of our local beat guys, why feed them?

It's like with Bryzgalov. The media had a quote machine, who is a little nuts. As I said last week, the local media had the goose that laid the golden eggs. They killed it to make McNuggets, then complained when there were no more eggs.

Honestly, the media should just ignore him after a game. He's such an attention whore, the next day at the skate he'd be begging for questions.

You are exactly right. They should. Tortorella makes it all about himself with this crap. I'm stunned that the owners he works for allows him to act like this. Regardless of wins and losses, when you represent a franchise you have to have some decorum.

If they win a Stanley Cup I doubt anyone in the organization gives a crap about what Torts says to the media.

Torts is a jerk, no question. So are a lot of the media members he's being a jerk towards. Rather than complaining about Tortorella, maybe they should simply ask the players and stop feeding the beast. His goal is to take the heat and scrutiny off his team. Mission accomplished.

What's the media talking about tomorrow in the Devils-Rangers series? Not that it's tied, or that the Devils controlled the play for long stretches....they'll be talking about Torts.

Remember, the media gets paid to go watch a hockey game. They get fed for free. They get access to talk to the players, coaches and front office people.

We as fans, pay hundreds of dollars to go see the games and have a beer & some food. I don't need to hear some guy getting paid to go see the game cry because the coach is a jackass.
