Two things:
1. This guy may a little premature and overzealous calling the series now, you think?
2. Just because some hack in a NY paper writes this drivel, I don't think this really qualifies as bulletin board material. Now, if a Ranger player or coach uttered anything resembling what this guy did then you have a different story. Hell, if the Rangers felt they needed bulletin board material all they have to do is go read THN; they always seem to trash the Rangers.

I need to join them on their vacation. Obviously this matchup has me rattled.. and will continue to make me ridiculous until its over with NJ on top.

half of my friends are Pens fans. My best friend's dad is a Rags fan, people i know on fb are rags fans.. and its just driving me nuts. Theres no denying it kills us to watch the Rangers beat us in a Conference Finals game. It kills us that NY rarely made the playoffs for the Devils to beat them when NJ was dominant in the 90s-lockout and NY perennially inferior. It kills us that despite Brodeur's dominance, the past is easily forgotten and all that remains is a goalie who is 2.05gaa, .921 save%, 8-4 and 1 SO this postseason.. and present day, is only marginally inferior to Lundqvist. But the fact that Hank is ANY better than Brodeur just makes him unreal and Marty swiss cheese..

but i don't care. I know Marty is still a good goalie. he's not the best, but he's still good and has been solid in these playoffs. He's 40 years old and has been one of the most consistently amazing goalies EVER. Being good and being good for 20 straight years is a big difference... especially when 7 of those years and 2 of those Vezinas are with more open hockey and without 2 HOF dmen. Marty would have a lot more than 4 Vezinas if not for Hasek and Roy.. but it is what it is. Those 3 are 3 of the best goalies to ever play the game. Thomas has had a few good years. Quick and Rinne have had good starts. Lundqvist so far has been great-stellar. We'll see how these goalies pan out. But it takes years of being consistently incredible to be in the conversation of "best ever".

I give Lundqvist his due, he's been a top 10 goalie for 7 straight years. He's definitely looking to be another great goalie.

I still think his chest protector is more massive than any other goalie i've ever seen. Marty was great wearing equipment from the early 90s.
but it is what it is.

This season.

Quick passes, stick to stick, move it around their defensive zone. It might not work immediately, but eventually they will start getting tired and get out of position. PARK ONE MAN in front of Hank, hold your ground, and place the other two wingers in the corner and up high, Dmen hold the point, and fire away, looking for those rebounds.

We saw them getting exhausted last night but unfortunately, we allowed them to stay in their lanes. That has to change, and I fully believe it will under PDB and the rest of the coaching staffs leadership. Edmonton in 05-06 used to use the same strategy, and the Canes were able to overcome it and win the cup.

Absolutely need more traffic and guys driving the net. And for god sakes hit the (frank)ing NET! Need more shots is the bottom line and of better quality. The rangers will block a lot of shots and passing lanes you have to just overcome it and find a way.
