I'm curious to hear your story on being a Flyers fan with a Jays avatar.

I hardly think they are trying to "derail" the thread...they've said "he's not what you think he'll be" pretty much.

Pretty sure in the code and conduct that is at least a week ban.

But if you think the Sabres fans have tried to "derail" the thread with their comments then you guys have truly lost perspective on what trolling means.

Their comments are about as gentle as any board is ever going to see...I'f read and re-read their comments and there's absolutely nothing on any of these pages that's worth even a "W" on the word "warning" let alone "attempt to derail".

Those things you can train. Speed/Agility/Leg Strength are all things Im sure will be addressed in the off season.

Defensive Play is harder obviously but he has quite awhile to learn. Really in Buffalo he had some breakdowns but really his defense wasn't some glaring problem. I dunno.

With Zach, he comes across as dumb and can be unmotivated..angry and still immature. That takes time and can be really difficult to grow out of. Hell we have all had to deal with it growing up.

From the small sampling size I've seen of him this is something that struck me as well - Kassian doesn't seem too intelligent and can be somewhat aloof. You can maybe attribute the second part to being on the wrong line or having an undefined roll, but the lack of smarts is somewhat worrying although he is still young.

If he's to "bang bodies" as a few have been saying here, I haven't actually seen that angry streak in him (see Zack Rinaldo for a rookie with an angry streak). We talk a lot about the veteran leadership on this team but there seems to be something in the air that makes people forget to hit as the season moves along. Weiss, Bitz, Kassian, Booth, Hansen, even Edler in the second half of the season all started out looking like iron before falling into the Mason Raymond camp of skating in circles with little production.

Honestly...because HB has gotten too uptight and too strict with what posts need to be banned and it's completely ruining the site.

To an extent yes.

There's never a real need for name calling...but sometimes if it's used to get a point across based on the conversation then I can let it go...I'll edit the post, but nothing more needs to happen.

Definitely no need for 1 week bans. Those are for the racist, homophobic comments.

kassian is the next steve "big bear" bernier.

a guy with all the physical gifts to dominate when they were bigger and stronger than everyone and it was easy. but then when facing the challenge of playing with men- requiring full effort and commitment- they disappear.

its funny how the canucks fans wanted nothing less than tyler myers before the trade, voiced their outrage all over these boards when the trade went down, and now coho is a bum and kassian is at least a consistent 30 goal scorer.

To an extent yes.

There's never a real need for name calling...but sometimes if it's used to get a point across based on the conversation then I can let it go...I'll edit the post, but nothing more needs to happen.

what I dont get is that this is a forum, not a real conversation, and so you can easily just choose not to respond. Which is in general what I do unless someone posts such a ridiculous rumour that it forces me, and my good judgement, to comment. Gets my post removed (wink wink). Unless someone says something, like what you mentioned, I don't know why people dont let it slide. There are a couple fanbases here though that I have to say get uptight defensive on the smallest things. I guess the "!" button is used more often there because of the pure outrage!

Big differences between Bernier and Kassian. Kasisan is bigger, stronger, better skater and better hands. Kassians hands are way above Berniers. His tool set is almost better in every category.

Not true...Cody is a good kid, with poor advice, he'll have a very good career but he'll never be Stamkos. Like I said earlier, if Kass is a big bodied 25 goal scorer. That's perfectly ok with me.

It's all situational I suppose, if someone is being verbally attacked for posting an opinion then ya that's rediculous. If someone is stating the obvious like telling someone they're female doggin' it then why not.

You'll also find many Canuck fans who wish we still had Hodgson and aren't too high on Kassian. Me, I think BUF got the better part of the deal no question. But with Kassian there is still a wait and see quality to judging his worth, more so than Hodgson who is closer to a finished product. I think Hodgson will be a great C for you for years to come, especially now that he appears to have shaken off his early injury concerns.

But the attitude lately has been "you said something negative about my team...you're a troll and should be banned"

And the funny thing, if this site was run exactly how it's "supposed to be" half the people crying about being trolled wouldn't even be able to post because the rules is supposed to be "3 bans and you're gone with an IP ban" but luckily for those users; no refs enforce it.

They should get rid of that thing.

Nah, the "!" is helpful when it's used properly.

But 90% of the posts that get reported are either a mistake because the "!" button is so close to the other main buttons or it's not report worth and is just someone being too sensitive.

You now another big talented kid that I'm excited about is Joseph Labate, he's in that Wisconsin program. Turning out some really good players! Let him play there for three years and hopefully he becomes a good player for us.
