3. When Anze Kopitar was on the ice for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final, the Kings outshot Phoenix by an obscene 24-2 at even strength. Gabriel Desjardins, who runs the terrific behindthenet.ca statistical website, sent along a list of other players who had such dominant performances. (It dated back to the 2007-08 season.) The only player who came close in the postseason was Braydon Coburn, who was plus-18 in a 2011 playoff win over the Sabres.

Friedman is a must read.

27. If I'm Paul Holmgren, I'm doing what I can to get Martin Biron back in a Flyer uniform this summer. (Biron is a UFA.) You have to get Bryzgalov the best possible backup, a team-oriented veteran who will do whatever it takes to make your starter comfortable. This is your guy. The Verizon Center has a really tight visitor's room. Biron would leave it during intermissions so Lundqvist had more room to spread out and relax. It's a small thing, but a big thing and, for all of his friendliness, Biron understands the larger picture. Plus, he'd do a lot of talking, which would also ease Bryzgalov's burden.

good idea. my only issue is you're probably getting like a mid-round pick or meddling prospect in return for bobrovsky at this point, imo.

The way to deal Bobrovsky is as part of a package for a defenseman or even a scorer if so inclined. There's rumors that the the Flyers are interested in Rick Nash yet again. No idea of the credibility of those, but they're starting up.

I also wonder if having a Russian speaking goalie to go with Bryz helps him out at all...

Ultimately.. I dont think we will ever get much for Bob...

if that's the option, i'd rather just roll with bob as the backup against next year and maybe his value increases and we get value for him or bryz dies.

I wonder if the Flyers would be interested in Dominic Moore or Scott Nichol as a FA, or either Jerred Smithson or David Steckel in trade.

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: Should Schenn Play Center or Wing?
- bmeltzer

Briere has been invisible when playing wing and he isn't any good defense. So, you play him at center with talented but defensive wingers. I'd experiment with Couturier on Briere's wing, and maybe Talbot or Read on the other wing. Couturier would get to play center on the PK. And, would be good to have if Briere get's kicked out of the faceoff dot.

Giroux/Hartnell are a lock at line 1. I would dump Jagr, if he sticks to his demand to stick on line 1 or on 1st line PP. (No player should demand that type of stuff - it should be up to the coach). Voracek is most similar to Jagr.

With this in mind... Put Schenn at Center. With Simmonds and JVR. If things get stale - try swop Voracek with Simmonds or JVR.

Oh, and get a UFA or trade for a 4th line center.

Not Shelley - Who would bring Bobby Clarke his popcorn? Do we bring back Cote as a UFA, or train a new kid...

I don't remember reading much about Breeze and Bobo being especially close either on or off the ice.

But, then again, I don't read much at all.

I'm finding myself oddly attracted to the Wendy's redhead ...
