Now they get the 6th seed.

So they play 6,7,8 seeds. Not bad.

I think the Rangers would have handled the Pens also.
- MJL

The same Pens that thumped the Rangers, including winning the last 4 of 6, and by lopsided scores?

Yeah, but Rabin wasn't the Trevor who worked on that one.

So, just out of curiosity, do you think the Flyers played terribly in their final series?
- Giroux_Is_God

I think the Flyers were vastly outplayed. And I think the opponent had a lot to do with the Flyers not playing well. Same as in this game.

Again, it's the playoffs. Any team can win a series. It's far more impressive then losing to a 7 or 8 seed. You have to advance to the next round, that's the name of the game. If the Rangers win the Cup, is it not going to be impressive to you because they went to 7 games in two series. And I'll again reference Boston having to win 3 game 7's on the way to the Cup last year.
- MJL

Of course Boston had one walkover series to give them a blow. 4 exhibition games for them to catch their breath.

It definitely sounded like a "long 'e'" sound to me, as in Henreek, Henreek, as opposed to Henrick, Henrick....

So the fact that the Flyers were a bad match for the Pens in the regular season and it continued in the playoffs is a coincidence?

Absolutely. Their first album that featured their defining spacey, jammish sound.

Gilmour's riff in Fearless is awesome. Mystical...mesmerizing....calming....just love it.

“All the guys are good, the management is great. But there is a lot of negativity surrounding the team. You did everything you could on the ice, you go to the locker room and someone yells some nonsense at your back. They’re ready to eat you alive. It’s unpleasant, because we are all people."

I predict he owns Lundqvist in the Winter Classic Alumni game in 2028

Nope. Is it true that the better team in the regular Season games always carries over to the playoffs? I think the Rangers are, and have been the best team in the Eastern Conference all Season. And it won't surprise me to see them win the Cup. And with their ability to check, and block shots, and with Lundqvist in goal. It's not a stretch to believe that they would have beaten the Pens in a playoff series. But we'll never know.

Yes. Why are you butting in?

I was done anyway, though...more productive things to discuss, like Meddle

EDIT: And the pronunciation of the Lundqvist's first name, apparently
