I Say put them on Montauk Point.
- kasperrko

I'm for that!

Have a special!

LIRR to Montauk.

Charter Fishing trip during the day.

Seafood dinner @ Grossman's

Two tickets to the game.

Motel Reservations @ Gurney's Inn. (I hear it sucks now?)

LIRR back to civilization.

What do you think Kasper?

I think xXx would go for it. Especially the food and the Charter.

No question cptmjl. I gave credit to Sather for the hire. Still took Sather a long time and plenty of mistakes before getting it right. He did not have the building issue or Wang to deal with either.
- ses111

Absolutely. Or being a back up goalie or having no respect from anyone in the league or having no idea what he was doing. You're right, he didn't have those things preventing him from doing his job.

Getting harder and harder to argue against Brooklyn and Ratner and the Nets people are going to keep pushing for the Isles.

You're an idiot... I was talking about all their first round picks and he was in a sentence with all of the ones that never made it to NHL. If that is a sore point for you to hop on and call me a "d-face". I suggest u stop reading Islanders blogs searching for something to jump all over... you're in the conf finals. You still angry at the Islanders? Go on to the Ranger circle jerk blog instead.
- niteislander

you're a fugging jack ass dude.

I am not and haven't been angry at the Islanders in years, I am probably the most Islander friendly Ranger fan you'd ever talk to.

But YOU are a total doosh, you can go eff yourself big time for the Cherepanov comment.

Oh yeah, really? We didn't draft Moulson. Other than Hamonic you'd take Ulstrom over Stepan or Ness over MDZ? lmao, you're joking. Right? the rest are nothing yet. I knew you'd pull up Holik, Gomez, etc... Thats what you do, you take my point and twist it to make yours more releveant. Doesn't work, in fact it makes your point even less relevant. As I stated he made mistakes and learned from them. Your answer to that was he learned because the cap made him. Now you bring up trades or siginings that aren't relevant to my point or my post? Hey a great goalie(who was drafted by the Rangers BTW) and that great coach were hired by that "stupid" GM while our "genius" of a GM has Capuano and will probably try to have DP start his career over once again. I am not in the Sather fan club, just stating he's done an admirable job in the last five years or so. If you can't see that I don't know what to tell you.
- Cptmjl

How did I twist your stuff around again? I think I basically said I would take our draft in 2008 over theirs.. in response to u specifically bringing that 2008 draft up.. so yes I would take our 2008 draft class over the Rangers. You are not a Sather fan club? you sure? b/c u were giving him all the credit for this Ranger run. That is where I disagreed .. b/c he is arguably one of the worst GM's in NHL history.

Sather should have been named GM of the year for finding someone stupid enough to take Gomez' salary AND give him McDonough and Higgins in the process.

Looking at the Rangers, its hard not to respect the hell out of what they've done. Great coach, great players. I hate the organization with a passion, but I respect what the Rangers have put together since the lockout. Leaps and bounds better job that Crazy Charles and Snow.

- Jethro09

i just want to point out a double standard (not necessarily you jethro)- everyone gives the rangers respect for guys like ryan mcdonagh (drafted in 07) or michael del zotto (drafted in 08) and at the same time gives (and has been giving for years) the islanders flack for drafting calvin de haan on 2009....why are islander fans so unwilling to be patient when it comes to developing their players but when players that took 4-5 years to develop, these teams do it right???

are you Chickendirt?

because you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about when it comes to the Rangers.

I ask because CK once told me Brendan Witt was better than Marc Staal and your intelligence level seems right on that level

What comment is that exactly? The one where he was on a list of first round picks.. and u chose to take offense. who is really the doosh.... you come out of the gate calling me a d-face. You know what.. if you had of said..

You really want to have Cherapanov in that sentence.?
I would have responded differently.

I'm patient. No one is saying shat to any of this. You guys are just so freaking defensive when it comes to this team and its management. What exactly are you defending? It's a freaking joke. MDZ is a year ahead of DeHaan but was a hell of alot further in development than DeHaan was comparable times. That is reality. You can't change it, it is what it is. Can CDH be a great player. I certainly hope so but he does not look that great at this point. He MAY develop into something

Snow is doing a great job its not his fault. He drafts better than anyone else and Sather sucks. Didn't you hear? Snow is a genius being stopped by Wang. You guys being in the playoffs and competing the last three years and going to the conference finals and winning the conference is a complete fluke.

Thanks Balky. It's been a long time since I commuted on the LIRR. 1984 if memory serves.

I wouldnt be surprised if the LIRR came up with specials from and to LI on game nights if Isles did land up there.

I guess Folks from Penn Station could take a subway to Atlantic ave rather then backtrack from Jamaica. Not sure how convenient that would be.

A subway from Batter Park to Atlantic Ave was a breeze back when. I have no idea what its like today.

not really a valid point. Almost as ridiculous as bringing up Petrov to use to validate his argument.
- Cptmjl

not saying i agree with it; just putting in my 2 cents on what he meant.

having said that, to say that petrov is equivalent to someone who is dead is pretty dramatic and far from true...

As i said, besides Hamonic. Do I really have to throw players the Rangers drafted the last six years at you(and out of the top ten mind you)to make my point? You know its a valid argument, you're just being an Islanders fan which is fine.

The location couldn't be any more perfect in regards to transportation. All they really need to decide on if it's "suitable" for hockey.

I was having a discussion on an Islander Blog comment section about Islander and Rangers draft picks. I listed all the Ranger first round draft picks under Sather who were not in the NHL... The fact that a Dead person's name was in that list is obviously a sore subject for you. Calling me a d-face was a bit over the top... fyi.
