I am guessing they would want a lot more than we would be willing to give up... but i am thinking If we get to keep Hamonic and JT.. I would give away any 4 guys they wanted and the 4th pick in the draft.... too much? enough to get it done?

Dehaan, Brock Nelson, Strome, and Okposo... and the 4th pick in the draft.

Even I would say thats alot. Either Nelson/Strome + Okposo + fourth pick would do it I'd think. It would be too much whatever they wanted.

I would give up all those guys.. the only one I am even the least bit hesitant is Strome... so replace him with Nino and Kirill 1 and 2 ... Kane is one of the best in game.

I would trade Strome to Edmonton for the first pick overall. Remember we ahve teh almighty BAiley who needs STrome?

Yeah, Strome I'm excited about too. I'd do it prob without him. I kind of like what I've heard about Nelson too. I'd def do DeHaan, Okposo, 4th pick, just don't think Chicago would unless things went real south for Kane there which I don't see happening least of all for this unfortunately.

I'll take a chance on Strome rather then one month of productivity a year with Bailey(I know you're being sarcastic).

I don't know, but that would be the worst trade in history, especially for a guy that is a UFA in 3 years and would probably high-tail it out of LI.

Strome, Okposo, and #4 would be fair. Hawks add 2 bluechip prospects and get a replacement RW for Kane. We get the best player in the deal.

It would be fair, I'd rather replace Strome with someone else. Unfortunately that would prob be the trade they'd accept. Strome is our best prospect as of now, like to see what he's got! All in fun, this is never happening anyway

Isles have ruined nino. No points inworld tourney. Ko after hot start also ice cold. Strome will be ruined next.

Bad new fellas. PA likely will not be isle next year either. Heard he asking too much. Good for Garth though. As much as I like moulson and pa. Both of there production is boasted by Tavares. Anyone that signs pa will find that out soon enough

They would accept it for sure. My point is that Snow would have to be high on a whole litany of illicit narcotics, at once, to ever offer that. We're talking about 4 out of our top 5 prospects (meaning whoever #4 is in that top 5), including our best overall prospect. Throw in Okposo who is an average 2nd liner to above average 3rd liner and it's all too much for me. That's a Milbury trade...cleaning house in your prospect pool for one player.

PA is going to ask for a lot, can't blame him. With this team in the shape it is he should have been traded at the deadline. I don't think he'll resign here either. I also don't think he's worth what he'll be asking so its kind of a crappy situation. Obviously the guy can't be paid all that close to what Taveras is making, he's just not worth it. I know the FA market is pretty slim this year but I just don't think he's going to be in as much demand as people think, we'll see? Should be interesting watching it play out, this is the only stuff we have to look forward too these days!

IDK, I see your point but Kane is a great player. You have to pay for someone like him. According to alot on here we have the deepest prospect pool in the NHL. The question is just how much confidence Snow has in it(and Bailey for that matter)? At this point, Okposo is expendable(of course for a player like Kane), Strome is still a maybe even though he looks good and the 4th pick is the 4th pick. Kane has won a cup and has seen the playoffs beginning to end. That experience and skill is hard to pass up. Snow has got to start thinking about these kinds of trades(this is never happening but if something like this ever came up...)to make this team succesfull unless of course we drafted or draft a great player, you have to add eventually. Addition by subtraction sometimes. I personally would have a hard time letting go of Strome yet. Okposo, DeHaan/Nino+4th pick. Just don't think they'd do it.

Don't get me wrong Kane is great, and I'd love to see him on a line with Moulson and JT but. He's not worth raping our future for though. Giving up your four best prospects and a respectable roster player is just entirely too much for me.

I'd have a hard time giving up Strome too, especially because I think we really need a second line center. But I'm trying to take off my Isles-goggles and realize what we would have to give up.

Also, as far as the depth of our prospect pool, I don't think we have the deepest..but we are definitely top 5. If you ask hockeysfuture.com we are #3, but that's them. Hard to stick us out of the top 5, though.

You have something better to do on here? why does everyone get so angry when someone starts a discussion? A point was made ... so we decided to discuss it... why is that so upsetting to you?
- niteislander

It's upsetting to me because it's a stupid argument. This argument is like comparing oranges to bowling balls. I don't even know what point was made, I tried to read most of it last night, and it was a bunch of Islanders fans clutching at (frank)ing straws.

There...you happy?

I agree. If he wanted to come over he would have already. Especially knowing he wouldn't have to play in Bridgeport and would start for isles.

As for pa. Should he take more money and leave he going to regret it as he won't be playing 1st line anywhere else in NHL.

Where did this Kane discussion come? No way chi trading Kane.
Unfortunately we just staying on course. Draft. Our team won't be as stacked at edm,. But we'll be strong team in few years.

Tavares no question will be elite player for years to come.

Did anyone else find it comical that isles only posted updates on isles players in world championships and on strome only when they were doing well.

Last post was on ice dogs winning game 1 in finals vs London nights. What the failed to say a cuter is strome and his team lost the next 4 games.

Same with ko nino and streit in worlds. Lol.

They only talking about how Tavares doing now.
