Joke if you like. But Kadri fared a LOT better than that, and the Leafs sent him down anyway. I don't think the Leafs have been handling Kadri that well, but Niedereiter? They could be screwing him up big time. - prock
No, they are screwing him up big time. They should have learned from Bailey what not to do. |

I get the sense that they’re trying to market the team as a young, up and coming team of the future. And in the process, screwing up their young, up and coming team of the future. |

Ok I feel so left out. Man reading all this makes me miss my DP rants!! So what is going on with the clown anyway? Is he still alive? I have not heard a word about him. I wonder who the Islanders are rooting for in the playoffs? Ok you may resume your rants |

Exactly what they are doing to an extent. We have some great young talent that doesn't need the help normal kids need to develop(Hamonic, Taveras). Kids that just excell if you know what I mean? Then we have the Baileys, Ninos, and whomever next we rush into the NHL that need that "help" and proper development. Having Nino play with Reasoner and Pandalfo for 4-5 minutes a game certainly wasn't "helping him develop". Developing these "normal" kids in this circus/losing environment I'm sure doesn't help either? This team beats to its own drummer and that drummer is playing a tune know ones listening to or heard if you know what I mean? |

Oh yes. Those were the days. Getting lambasted that DP was not injury prone, because he’s 74 injuries were all to different parts of the body, therefore, it only classifies as coincidence. |

DP is old shat, we moved on to having to find "factual" evidence Snow is doing a bad job, forget about the losing record, not being in the playoffs for 6 years, not being able to sign a good player or make a trade to help the team, not being able to find a coach to help this team and properly develop their youth, forget about extending Capuano for another year.
Somehow we now have to prove this is Snow's fault and not Wang's, any ideas? |

Ah I see well here is my ranks on Snow Minor league level Snow gets a B on NHL level he gets a D-. Personally I dont think he has a clue about being a GM. I mean any guy who had to retire and then get thrown into a GM has no knowledge of it what so ever sorry. He is ranked in my opinion right behind Howson in Columbus then it is Snow. Clueless. I dont care about the draft picks he just announces them he goes by his scouts. He probably cant even tell you half the guys he announced or anythign about them. |

I think Steve Yzerman would beg to differ on this point..........
Edit: Yes I know Yzerman wasn't thrown into the position but the way you wrote it makes it seem like anyone who retires and becomes a GM right after isn't qualified. That's all. |

Ah man Balky my greatest adversary LOL. I hear you but at least Yzerman was an everyday player and made a lot of friends on the way and is respected. Garth was a back up goalie sub par at best and people really did not like the guy. |

I swear certain guys we draft dont play well down there so that the Islanders can get rid of them and they can go to a team that they know has a chance at winning |

Nah heard it through the grapvine that he was not a real good team mate and that he cared more about himself then anything else. Word of mouth not enough proof but I believe that. He always has this smug look on his face like he just slept with everyones wife or daughter |

Steve Yzerman was made an alternate Governer and VP of the Redwings after he retired and before he was given the job with the tampa bay Lightning, this alone makes him more qualified. Oh yeah, besides the fact that we are talking about Snow and Yzerman which in itself makes Yzerman more qualified. Snow couldn't even get a starting goalie job for God's sake yet alone sniff the career Yzerman had. Clever delivery but no substance, |

Who was comparing careers? Ray Shero couldn't even make it in the NHL and I'd say he's done a good job in Pittsburgh, no? |

Fine, then Ken Holland of Detroit. I wasn't even comparing Snow and Yzerman's careers to begin with. My dead grandfather who didn't know hockey existed could tell you the difference. Geez. |
