Believe what you want. People like you never learn, I know the type. Even when Snow makes moves they suck for the most part. Very few of his signings/trades and even some of his drafting has been questionable at best. He has done very little except draft and when he has to do something to reach the floor it's signing garbage. You will blame Wang for every point I make. Some of which I can see your point but for the most part its evident that Wang has little or nothing to do with that particular subject. You will defend Snow no matter what we are talking about. You jump down people's throats sometimes when they are not even saying anything negative to defend Snow, it's actually pretty strange. I've never witnessed so much blind faith put into someone before in my life least of all in sports where results matter. Don't misunderstand any of this post(which you seem to do consistently), none of this is in any way complimentary to you. - Cptmjl
please provide FACTUAL evidence....and if you dont have evidence, than it isnt evident, its an opinion! |

I wasn't even discussing anything with you, YOU interjected and started discussing solely drafting. I don't need to go back and look and copy and paste to prove anything to you, if you're that interested go back and read. You seem to love doing that. Then I made those points which BTW I'm still not denying - Cptmjl

gotcha, See Kirill Petrov - Cptmjl
Petrov is signed in the KHL for the next 2 seasons...
Kirill Kabanov is not.... the rumors of him signing in the KHL were wrong, He did however agree to play there if there was a lockout in the NHL.

Do Isles still retain rights to Petrov after his 2 years? I am sure someone will be angry at me for even asking.. but I am curious. |

Snow is doing a great job its not his fault. He drafts better than anyone else and Sather sucks. Didn't you hear? Snow is a genius being stopped by Wang. You guys being in the playoffs and competing the last three years and going to the conference finals and winning the conference is a complete fluke. - Cptmjl
I'm not sure how you can call it a fluke. I’m not a fan of Sather, but he’s been building this team for quite a few years. He’s drafted some pretty key players, like Dubinsky, Callahan, Staal, Del Zotto, Hagelin, Stepan, Ansimov, let them slowly develop. Done whatever it took to keep Lundqvist in the fold (also after drafting him). And augmented that with some free agent signings that have been huge for the team, and essentially gotten them to the next level, in Richards and Gaborik.
Yeah, in the past, his free agent signings have been his weakness. He’s thrown big money at the wrong players in the past. His last couple are huge though. But he’s ALWAYS rocked the other GMs in terms of trades, easily. No question. His drafting and development has built the majority of the team.
I think he gets too much credit for the Oiler dynasty. He walked into a team that would have pretty easily won those cups with a monkey at the helm. And pre-lockout, throwing money at everything was his M.O., and it didn’t work. You can say the cap forced him to all you want, but he’s adjusted, and built this Rangers team through every method a GM has available to him, and done so pretty well. The Rangers being in the conf finals is no fluke. It’s been building this way for a years.

We do, and he still wants to play in the NHL & for the Islanders, but his mother's health is more important to him right now & playing in the KHL lets him be closer to her.

I don't blame him.. Should be that way. It is a very good league he is playing in too... so in the end it may be a blessing. If it doesn't work out it will not matter anyway. |
