TOR 2012 1st + Gardiner for Stall? - Pen15
I'd do that in a heart beat. |

I will do that for Stall? So, what will you give for Staal?
I probably overrate Gardiner. I like him. That and the fifth overall pick, would intrigue me. |

Staal is not currently better than any teams number 1 center. He is an average number 2 player with his numbers. Playing on Pittsburg with Crosby out this year he didn't have huge points. I don't think I would trade Horcoff for him and Horcoff played 3rd line minutes on the 29th finishing team but had similiar numbers. He will be a career 50 pt player and that is worth 3 mill a year and a 3/4 dman if a team is looking do dump salary. Maybe a second round pick. He had potential but you have to call a spade a spade, he hasn't improved over the years. - bsteinley
Horcroff had 34 points in 81 games
Staal had 50 points in 62 games
Those numbers are no where near being similiar |

Where did you get your information? Are you serious that's all you would give up? He is progressing very well offensively and is already one of the games best two way forwards. Horcoff will never, ever match up even being close to Staal. |

I think he would do ok there, maybe I'm giving the guy to much credit.. - Deadmau55
From what I have seen of him. I would agree you are giving him too much credit lol. I think Holmgren was ordered to fix the goaltending, and that was his cheapest option (cause he did not give up to much for his negotiation rightst). But after they signed him.....he is one expensive goalie, that will not take them to the cup. I agree with what Holmgren said. He needs to concetrate on stopping the puck, and not comedy central. |

He's a fan of Edmonton. He thinks Hemsky has value of a first rounder and Omark has third round value and Gagner should be traded for a major piece. He has a very low hockey IQ.

No thanks, I'm not taking Kulemin who went from 30 to 7 in goals. He was a one year wonder. |

Gardiner is not overrated....but he has only played 1 full season...if he keeps up the pace, he'll be a top 2 guy....just as if Stall keeps up his pace he'll be a #1 guy |

The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the mode of trying to win a Cup. Why would they trade Staal for that? |

I would never do that unless I see Keslers offensive production go up. - PensMalkin71
Kesler had a 40+ goal season... Kesler is the better offensive player imo. But very similar, however i'd take Staal over Kesler still. |

That's a total low ball!
We're not landing a potential #1c with that IMO. |

He played with Malkin in KHL and his numbers this year def don't reflect his talent...plus he's an excellent 2 way regardless of points...and Army used to be Crosby's linemate |

You'd give up a one year wonder, A guy in Armstrong who is always injured and a 2nd rd pick. No Thank you! |

Ok answer me this. What use would Pittsburgh have with Armstrong and Kulemin? Think about it. They have Malkin, Neal, Kunizt, kennedt, Jeffery, Cooke. They have better wingers and aggitatiors than the those 2 guys you menitoned. Armstrong has not played a full season ever since coming over to Toronto, and throwing a 2nd round pick, is just a slap in the face. |

Two of the best two-way forwards in the game, but to me, they are different in many ways. Kessler having surgery two years in a row and will miss the first part of the year again would give me pause and I'm a big Ryan Kessler fan.

Yeah...not a realistic proposal IMO....
I stick to Gardiner + TOR 1st....that's equitable. |
