I think Bergevin will make a move and try to improve the top 6. Bourque should be on the 3rd line ideally with Eller. I am not convinced Plek will be there next season, they might try to improve in the middle.

I agree what are the odd we could package pkekaneks with 1 of the 9 second rounds we have stored away. and trade for a mid to late 1st riunder. grab reinhart if avail. if lucky i honrstly think pleks and a second ciuld land and top 10-15 pick range. hes a guve that olays extremely shutdown hockey abd give you decent faceoff percentage to go with 50-60 points with no good wingers

Yawn, every team has interest in trading for Evander Kane. But I'm sure Winnipeg has no interest in trading him, so that's over.

Wow.....I am absolutely shocked to hear that a team has interest in one of the best young powerforwards in the game.

Who would have thought this.....EKlund that's who.

Why is there always talk about offer sheets when they rarely ever happen and when they do, 90% of the time they're matched.

not that these are necessarily prospects they'd want to trade, but some ppl seem to be forgetting that the Habs also Have Gallagher in the WHL and Beaulieu and Tinordi in the Q and O...Habs have alot of tradeable options + their pick for this year if they really want a certain player

Good question. Because they make perfect sense on paper but because of this ridiculous honour system in place among the GMs nobody ever has guts to give out one with teeth (ie. intentional overpayment). That, and/or most of the time teams maneuver to avoid potential offer sheets through techniques like filing for arbitration.

I think next year our top 3 lines will be

Patches/DD/Cole
Gionta/Plekanec/Bourque
Forsberg/Eller/Gallagher

Hopefully we get rid of Bourque and sign a quality Free Agent

- HabsRUs

Man, I can't believe how south Bourque has gone since he signed that deal. Still glad Feaster managed to get something for him - his value would have just gone so downhill. Are there any defenders of Bourque in Montreal? Because I really liked that guy when he was effective, and would love to see him resurrect his career.

If Kane is available for the right price, shouldn't Brian Burke raise his fuzzy, unkept, out of wack eyebrows & say to himself... "hmmmmmm Evander Kane, a big young stud power forward who plays center & can score an average of 30 goals a season might be available? ,,,,, perhaps I should at least look into it".

True, if no one made an offer sheet last sumer for the best scorer in hockey in Stamkos, you have a better chance of finding Osama & Sadam living luxoriously in a cave than ever seeing an offer sheet on any player. Case in point, even the Leafs who's #1 SCREAMING need is a true #1 center wouldn't even make an offer sheet for Stammer.
