I think Gal is going to Columbus also, a center for Nash....it might help to convince him to stick around. - Symba007
I agree, although I think Nash's mind is pretty much made up. Any doubt he had went out the window when Howson went public with Nash's intentions. I would love to get Burke's hands on Galchenyuk, but his stock seems to keep rising while doing nothing for some reason. If we can't somehow trade up to nab him, I would be satisfied to land Grigs if he's available at 5. |

that's my top 5 draft guess
1-Yaku
2-Gal
3-Fors
4-Murray
5-Grigo |

Seriously. If the Habs aren't willing to part with:
- Price
- Pacioretty
- Subban
- 3rd overall
This IS NOT happening! |

I wouldn't be sad to see the Habs take Forsberg at 3. Scouts are saying he is NHL ready, so perhaps he could play with Pleks. If we could also sign Parenteau, a line of Forsberg-Pleks-Parenteau may have potential. |

That seems about right, and you can probably flip #s 3 and 5, if the order remains the same. But this is the first time in a while that I can actually see some movement happening in the top 5 via trades. It wouldn't surprise me. |

I want NOTHING to do with Parenteau personally. His stats are inflated from playing with Tavares and he is 29yrs old with ONE good season. Too much risk and his agent will look for a long term (3-4 years) contract...this is his big career contract, I'd stay away. |

I think next year our top 3 lines will be
Patches/DD/Cole
Gionta/Plekanec/Bourque
Forsberg/Eller/Gallagher
Hopefully we get rid of Bourque and sign a quality Free Agent |

I don't disagree with you... he will command more than I would like the Habs to pay... but if he goes to free agency I will be shocked if the Habs don't make a serious offer.
Whatever happens, we need at least 1 new winger to play with Pleks... Gionta has no chemistry with him, and the other cue that he had to work with last year was retarded. If there is a decent top-6 brought in, perhaps 1 of the prospects can fill out the line. |

I think you are probably right about the top 2 lines, but that second line sucks a big one. |

I think Bergevin will make a move and try to improve the top 6. Bourque should be on the 3rd line ideally with Eller. I am not convinced Plek will be there next season, they might try to improve in the middle. |

You can say that about anyone playing with a superstar though. Of course the numbers will be inflated, but that doesn't mean a player is not talented. If you actually watch some of their games, Parenteau actually plays pretty hard and is quite creative. He might be able to compliment Plekanec quite nicely. |

they already have guys like Bourque and Gionta that they can't really move...I just don't want another guy with a contract that handcuffs the team. I really hope he resigns with NYI before July 1st. |

I'm not so worried about the Bourque contract... I'm happy to give him a year with eller on the third line and see what happens. Gomez and Kaberle have to go, and I would be happy if Gionta was traded also. |
