Plus, Montreal would probably have to add to get it done. I've never been a fan of dealing guys that naturally fit in. Max, to me, is that guy. I see zero reason to tamper with that.

... Are you saying Kane's gonna be a 40/40 player in the NHL? Cause Patches being a 65 pts guy right now (and still young & developping) would imply so.

I personally dont think Kane's a PPG 40 goal guy, he'll probly be the same type of player Pacioretty is right now, a 70 pts power forward.

Are you joking? Which abundance are you talking about? Right now we have Cole and Patches. The two of them make a great 2nd like with DD. We have no one to play with Pleks. Pleks needs a couple of top 6 wingers to play with, and he has zero chemistry with Gionta who is small and past his prime. I think trading Gionta in the summer would be a good plan. Obviously Gomez cannot be back. If we can offload Bourque, we should. If we can, we sign Moen.

Put Kane on a line with Pleks, as well as maybe an RFA signing like Parenteau.

I agree. Pacioretty would be the focal point of any deal as opposed to Subban. But both players are doing well with their respective team so I don't see the relevance of that deal. The only way I see this happening is if they swap first rounders and Montreal adds a lesser piece.

You really see 2 d-men going in the top-5??? Columbus just acquired Jack Johnson to complement the Wiz. No way in hell they don't draft Grigs or Galchenyuk.....or even an outside chance of Forsberg.

The only way I see two D going is if the Oil trades down a few spots....but that's unlikely.
