Screened yes. Deflected no.
- stormey

On the replay from behind the net, it looked like the puck ticked off a stick, but other angles didn't show it clearly.

Doesn't matter much either way. The Devils handled the Flyers quite nicely. Dammit.

Absolutely 100% deflected. Clear as a bell on replays. It deflected and changed direction out high.

watch it again. It was deflected.

The puck begins to flutter after it hit something on the way to the net.

- ggunky

I watched it two or three times and never saw it hit something. It was fluttering but not from a tip....at least not what I saw.

I could be wrong....I quite often am actually.

I dont think so....from what I remember, and I had a few beers ...it was screened but went right in.

OK, so he's supposed to score goals, too? Hope he works on that this summer.

Roo, MJL, GGunky (love the let's go Flyers), JSaq, just5, 2real, r97, tangent, Hexy, eayost,Plind, stv, jak, Russ...to name a few...if i miss anyone, my apologies.

it's been an enjoyable year. Looking back when the season started we all just hoped they would make the playoffs. The team has a bright future. It's been real to come on here and talk hockey. I appreciate the banter.

Had to stop my backread as I usually try to read all the comments before adding my two cents.

Yes finding this website is probably the highlight of my season.

Except for my brother (probably helps that he played ice hockey) my Rl friends are your typical WIP callers when it comes to hockey. Got one friend that's in the same boat as me in regards to all but giving up on football so he's trying to convert to hockey and is relying on me to teach him (poor guy). Hockey and Football have always been my top two. I like baseball for the fact it's something to watch until football and hockey start back up. Barbecue, roating marshmallows, fireworks and Harry K were staples of my summertime youth.

Anyway, I learned somethings this year about the game talking to you guys. I don't always make the most agreeable statements I'm sure, but it's helped me to get a better grasp on the game when I do. The conversations on NHL hockey and the Flyers in particular are something I just can't get anywhere but here. For that I thank not only Bill for his blogs but you posters who make it that way. Thanks!

oh well, season over...no biggie, pretty much used to it..before the pens series i did not expect much and really did not feel we would pens, so in my mind, we did good considering the rookie bunch and the older guys that were worn out....

coulda, shoulda, woulda..i still love the team and im sure homer will make more tweaks to the core to make another playoff bound team.

I'm trying to remind myself that minus Jagr, Briere, Hartnell and Shelley, the other 10 forwards on this team average 22.5 yrs old.

He always does. Would defense be the number one priority this offseason?

8 MORE YEARS OF BRYZ....
- MrCrowley

I, for one, am very comfortable with that. He's a very good goalie. I think with a year under his belt he'll be even better next year.

I would like to see them bring back Jagr.

They're going to have to make a tweek or two on defense which will probably mean moving out a little of the offensive depth but that's okay.

I like what I saw overall with this team this year. I think the future is bright.
