Oh man.

With that said, you guys better be rooting for Flyers West.

- StayTunedMTC

Why? They're not wearing orange and black. They have no love for the Flyers or Flyers fans, why should we care about them?

The harvesting of sorrow will be at record levels if Richards and Carter lift Lord Stanley and bring it back to Philly for a parade.
- BingoLady

Yeah. They can't find Philly on a map. It's a nightmare only because of all the tools who'll make it one.

Hello sir,

It was a great season for a team I wasn't really expecting to make it to the post-season, let alone the second round.

All in all I think this was a great experience for the kids and I look forward to next season. I would like to see the kids hit the weight/work-out room and build-up their body strength and conditioning.

And Couts spend the summer with Barb Underhill working on his skating.

Flyer fans..... Great playoff game, no shame going out...
With last off-season trades of Richards & Carter, everyone thought the Flyers were nuts, but did to change the culture of there team.
Give your GM major props, bc not only did it change the culture of the team, it also made the Flyers a much better team with cap flexibility.
This years playoffs will be a great experience going forward for the kids
All thats needed is get younger on D, an hate to say it, but Bryz is not the answer in goal, lets in to-many-softies....

Great series......

Maybe G being suspended for Game 5 is the best thing to ever happen to this team.

Think about it. Giroux is one of the hardest workers in the off-season, you don't think this adds motivation for next season?

it's been an enjoyable year. Looking back when the season started we all just hoped they would make the playoffs. The team has a bright future. It's been real to come on here and talk hockey. I appreciate the banter.

Must of been hard to watch your team get eliminated from the press box and theres nothing you can do about it. Yes, he put himself in that position but it still sucks for him.

IDK.

All I know is the same problems that were evident in game 2 were still the same problems in game 5.

If they were held accountable, great! It didn't change the problems the players were being held accountable for.

If was clear to you that Lava was asking for the players to adjust and they didn't then please point it out to me. I am not claiming to know it all.

- ggunky

How can I point it out to you. I'm not in the locker room, nor behind the bench. Laviolette is an experienced NHL Head Coach who has won a Stanley Cup. But he doesn't know the simple adjustements that us fans think should be made? Just from a simple common sense standpoint. I don't beleive that Laviolette and the Coaching staff just stood there and yelled let's go boys. And didn't give the team any direction in what they wanted them to do to get back in the Series. When your players are getting outplayed in every aspect of the game, in all 3 zones. Losing puck battles, outnumbered on the puck, getting crunched on the forecheck. There isn't much any Coach can do to reverse that. It has to happen on the ice.

I'm sure it does. I'm disappointed that the team didn't use extending Giroux's season as a rallying cry. The guy put the team on his back all year, you figure the players didn't want his season to come to an end sitting in the press box. We saw the Pens win an elimination game 10-3 without their leading scorer in James Neal, Nashville won game 3 without Kostitsyn, and Radulov, and in this series the Devils down 1-0 dominated the Flyers without Kovalchuk.

yes that would be beneficial. I would rather just have a release clause in the CBA like the MLB and NFL.
- phi1671

The NFL does not have guaranteed contracts. In MLB you cannot release an injured player.

Bob is way of base there. It is always easy to point the finger at the man in net..

He mentions all three goals being weak. The first was going high to the far side when it hits a stick and knuckles into the top right side of the net. Bryz really had no shot at that one. The second one was a bone head play. Cant deny it. He was trying to do too much and should have just covered it. Normally, he would have I believe. The third was a seeing eye shot that was in a perfect spot while Bryz was being screened.

The 3rd goal, Kovalchuk's also deflected.

His skating isnt all that bad to start with, but Underhill does wonders. Imagine a summer with Barb and Gary Roberts

Didnt she sign some sort of skating coach contract witht he Leafs?

Ok, well you don't know anymore then I do on this.

I was speculating.

You are speculating as well.

That is all we can do.

Do I think the players are held accountable, yes.

Do I think the players were told to change their approach on dump-ins, yes.

Did it happen, no.

Naturally when things don't change you question why it is they didn't.

To rule anything out is silly. So yes, I did question accountability and coaching.

watch it again. It was deflected.

The puck begins to flutter after it hit something on the way to the net.

Yeah, they score 7 goals in 4 second round losses and the goalie is the problem.
