Well I will say this much I dont think Brodeur is better than either Hasek or Roy.

Roy
Hasek
Brodeur

Thats my order of the three.

Why even bring up that you want a tweak in the system? The Flyers just need to play better. Spin the wheel round and round we go...

It's just a personal preference of how I want a team to play.

But how often did players like Danny or JVR get punished for loitering instead of backchecking during the regular season? See how Dale Hunter has thrown away the "star player will do what he needs to do and the rest of the team will compensate mantra." If the coach says something that individual players are not doing, isn't it on the coach to set a reward/punishment scheme that reinforced good behavior and punish bad behavior?

I think Lavy seems to be a great motivator and passion guy and heart guy, but less of a mind and discipline guy.

Laviolette is a players Coach. What's most interesting to me is how we've gone full circle. Were having the same conversations that we had when Stevens was here. All due to one lost playoff series.

I've questioned Laviolette's decisions time and again during the season. I am questioning his work against the Devils as well. Wondering where the split in blame lies isn't the same as calling for his head.

All we know is, the players didn't execute and the adjustments the coaches made didn't work. I doubt that the coach loses his job over it, so it's really a moot point.

I like Lavy but if these players keep commiting these atrocious mistakes that end up in the back of the net, then he needs to seriously revamp how his system is ran. I believe in player execution but sometimes you just don't have the personnel to run a particular strategy. I would like him to just run a more defensive minded system. not totally revamp everything but he has to at least adjust this thing so it's not so damn mistake prone.

Yes in fact if Lavi does not adjust the game to match up better against teams like Boston, NYR, and NJ... then yes they will continue to lose to them.

Bylsma was outcoached in the first round. He couldnt get his team to play diciplined and when he realized he couldnt out score us, he should have adjuested to a more defensive game, like they did in last years playoffs.

- RooNosHockey

I disagree completely with the first statement. As the Flyers young players get better and better. And grow as players, as the team gels together. That will be the key to beating those teams in the future.

So your saying that Bylsma changed his system. And Coached his team to play differently, and to play weaker defensively?

No, the better team doesnt always win. It's usually the more motivated and disciplined teams... which comes down to coaching.
- RooNosHockey

Yes, the better team in a game or a Series always wins. The mistake your making is thinking that coming into this Series, that the Flyers were the better team versus the Devils. The same mistake that according to Giroux, the players made. Clearly, the Devils were the better team when they dropped the puck. That's why they actually play the games instead of just voting who is the better team. And I guess the Flyers sat around waiting for Laviolette to motivate them to play better. They could've played better, but the Coach just didn't provide enough motivation.
