Agreed, he did not impress.
- BulliesPhan87

I would rather use his money on another defenseman and possible a younger one if possible.

Overrated? Really? I don't think so.
- Scoob

I wouldn't say overrated. But not what he used to be, certainly, and was not all that and a bag of chips in this series. The Flyers didn't get enough pucks on him.

did the fans cheer or boo the team after the game?

His puck handling and outlet passes were a big key for NJ in the series.
Stopping pucks, he wasn't lights out, but good enough to win.

If your assuming that JVR is going in the deal, that eats up 4.5 for whatever the contract is... And if you do get a Number one then you dont resign Kubina, and Maybe not Jagr either... And poof, there is your Money for a Number 1.
- RooNosHockey

Still have to resign Voracek and Harry z if you want to keep him and bourdon on defense. If you trade JVR and let Jagr walk, that's pretty much an entire line you have replace. Lots of decisions to make, not really sure what the flyers plan is yet. Going to be an interesting offseason.

They booed when the final whistles sounded, but during the handshake line cheered loudly

maybe overrated is not the right word, but i pretty much think if you put any above-average goalie between the pipes for the devils in the time he's been there and the results don't vary much.

That's good in a way. The team deserved both. Boos for the fact that they really didn't show up in the second round, and cheers for the rookies that made great strides this year.

Really? I dont know if the Devils organization would even agree with that.

Will find out soon enough bc his run in NJ is coming to an end.

Wellwood at 580,000 and read at 900,000 next year could be a lethal, extremely cheap, duo for the flyers. That is, if Wellwood can learn to finish.

1. He's 40, of course he's not what he used to be.

We'll just have to agree to disagree because I'm not going to get sucked into the hack argument that he was the great beneficiary of their system.

I agree, just wanted some other opinions.

In the pipe dream world, wouldn't that be awesome if we get him??

I know the whole is actual D, not defensive forwards, but still!!
