He has one year left, so if he is told he will be not resigned anyway, he might waive it?

Btw, (giving you your due), Morganti, Tocchet and Clements all said that the pass by Kimmo back to Bryz was a terrible play.

- PT21

I think he already knows that next year is likely his last year as a Flyers. I don't know if he would waive it or not.

Well a decent season considering all the turnover.
Instead of blame I am kind of curious what the seasons end interviews with the players will be like.

I expect the scapegoat bandwagon to be out in full force. There were far to many invisible players to pick on Bryz, JVR, Carle etc.

The Devs are a better team. Talent alone does not constitute the better team. We showed that against the Pens.
Kudos to the devils for their disciplined play after the whistle.

- bird_dog

Talent was clearly better on the Philly side. Compete level and the game plan/coaching/adjustments to be made are clearly in question.

I hope Holmgren is just as bold this offseason as he was last.

New Jersey would have just scored a different game winning goal anyways.

Effort was a little too late.

Should Rinaldo have been playing the whole series. I'd take his play over JvR.

- LJF

rinaldo should absolutely been in for this series. being afraid of the refs certainly didn't change anything in the flyers favor.

Can't argue that but the Flyers still are our team, nice to show the support.
- stveshdy

I support them...but not when their effort was shoddy like it was in this series...people have every right to call them on it...doesn't make them bad fans

Bright future yes, but this series stings it goes down as wasted opportunity.
- LJF

It does sting. But I feel that the bigger and better things are in store for this team in future years.

bold how?

Hard to get much bolder than trading away your top two forwards at the time, including your captain, and signing a big name goalie

All the eggs are in the Yotes basket. Although if they win, everyone will say it's because they got rid of Bryzgalov. And how could anyone argue with it, Smith has been unreal.
- PLindbergh31

Both Smith and Quick have been lights out so far. It should be a good series.

Never happened. They just skipped right to year 41.

and he was 2 time castoff before coming to phx. i'm sure they were just gambling on potential, and obviously didn't have much cash to spend on a goalie anyway. it's not like they had a lot of better options.

i have never been more of a yotes fan in my life. and wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts to jets fans, if they actually (frank)ing win it the year they get a franchise back, just not their own.

Cubs have some openings in their fan base. I support my team. I'm positive in looking and judging my team. And this Series loss isn't going to change that,

You can be negative and reference other teams all you want. That's expected from you. But I choose, and it is a choice. To think positive.

honestly, if it comes down to a Kings-NYR/NJD final i am rooting for LA...and it has nothing to do with frick and frack - i honestly couldn't care less if they won it, unless it was at our direct expense. i'd be happy for gagne, hextall, stevens, and a fanbase that has never won a cup, and i can not have under any circumstances another cup for either ny or nj.
- hammarby31

Gagne won't be playing, not sure if it would mean anything for him to be on a team that won a cup, when he wasn't a participant in the playoffs. It would bother me immensely if Carter and Richards skate around with it, not because I dislike them, but it would just be another cross to bear.

You're right the Sabres were in the playoffs last year...so Pegula looks to be going backwards.

I'd do it. Kimmo has said some things this year that have irked me, plus he's leveling off in terms of his play. I also have a sneaking suspicion that he doesn't like Bryz.
- KGBflyers10

You honestly think Kimmo is the only one on this team that doesn't like Bryz?

I'd like to hear an apology from Giroux for his stupidity in game 4, which helped end the season.

I don't have a problem with fans calling them out at all. I just thought it was the right thing to do if your a fan at the game was to applaude them before they leave the ice for their hardwork all season. Does it suck? Of course. I want to win just like everyone else but they still did a good job this season considering all the changes. I really didnt know where to set the expectations.

Giroux actually had the balls to go out to the handshake line?

- FlyerGuy

considering he's the de facto captain of the team i expect nothing less.

i also expect him to be turned on by a slightly slow fanbase anytime between now and the next off season.

overall it was a good season, going in with so many rookies this is more than what i expected.i think a few changes and we will be a great team.meszaros i thought played great for a guy who has been out for two months.we need to find someone to take pronger, jvr, jagr place.if this amnesty rule comes into effect bryz is gone or the contract is redone.i think giroux will learn big time from this and it was classy that he came out for the handshake.now i root for L.A because hextall, stevens, williams, richards, carter, gagne all went to war for us and they deserve the cup.hopefully there is no lockout and i will talk to you all in september.LETS GO FLYERS
- richiewinthecup

Amnesty is highly unlikely. And redoing a players contract will definitely not be allowed. I see no reason for the Flyers to want to get rid of Bryzgalov.
