We are in for more of the same unfortunately. That is the reality of the Islanders

If the Isles do anything big this offseason I'm going to rush myself to the hospital to get checked out.

and yours is the most boring team to watch, having pioneered what some call the death of the game. Anyway, aren't you late for a tanning appointment somewhere? Gotta keep that NJ economy cranking, Gov. Christie's a hungry boy.

you do realized that the habs were the first team in the NHL to use the trap? which was brought over from sweden where it originated to try to beat russia?

and the devils haven't used the trap since the lock out, and people have said the devils are much more exciting to watch this year than previous years?

i mean i guess watching other teams win compared to your islanders must be pretty boring for you, must be a lil upsetting, i mean to me winning is exciting

Nailed i! Whenever anyone thinks about playing with Crosby, Malkin, Fleury and Letang -- they think big crybabies

I love when somebody on this sight acts like a crybaby by calling the pens crybabies! Hows about getting some leafs fans to strap on two and stand up to an ownership and front office by showing them they can put a losing team on the ice for ... what... 45 years now?

Yeah, because owner Norm "Greed" was an assho1e.

The Coyotes don't have an owner, so it isn't an issue.

Devils are playing some exciting hockey. I'm enjoying the series immensely. Good luck sending the Flyers to an early exit.

The Devils continue to get it done. They find a way. They should share there secret with the Isles.

Yeah, I know....it sucks for you guys. Seems like it's been a rudderless ship since the day Milbury was hired in the mid 1990's. Wang coming along sure as sh!t didn't help

I believe Ek is 0 for 196 on Isles rumors over the last five years.

As for tageting a big name Dman on UFA...uhhhhh, chya, of course they will 'target' one....but we've targeted a few big name dmen only to watch them laugh us off.

If Suter has a choice between a big offer from the NYI and from Detroit....where will he go?

I have to agree with you and Cptmjl. We have some good prospects. Guys that most likely will play in the NHL for many years. But aside from possibly Strome. I'm not seeing any "Show Stoppers" in this group. I'd love for us to trade up for Yakupov, and I think that we should, but I'd be content to take Dumba @ #4. He's got the potential to be something special IMO. More of a risk then Nail but he could be just what the Isles need.

I understand fans being prideful for their teams and prospects, players, etc, but think your reaching calling Kabanov or Cizikas a "high end" prospect. Cizikas looks like he could be an NHL'er and maybe a good third liner. Thats awesome but not what I would call a high end prospect. God forbid I say something that could be taken as negative but in the real world is just a fact. If Kabanov is a high end prospect I say we trade him for a number 2 Dman? We need that more than anything. Tell you what lets package three of our high end prospects? How about DeHaan, Mayfield, and Kabanov for Suter? Three high end prospects like those guys should be able to land Suter, right?

Incredible how a team could go WITHOUT a damn owner for a couple years and find someone to KEEP the team in that hockey hot bed called Pheonix and we have Charles freaking Wang who is pile driving this team into the ground. When did you ever think the Coyotes without an owner were better off then us, awesome! Love ya Charlie

He will not even have to think about it. He will be on the plane to Detroit so fast before he even thinks about the Islanders.

love this team, what a joke. If Bettman was doing his job he'd be worried about the Islanders trying to find an owner who didn't want to build a city and was more worried about making a profit with of all things the hockey team they brought. Good for Pheonix but the circus that is the NY Islanders has gone on long enough.

It's not right the Isles have had one bad owner after another. You figure the law of averages would show up once? Each owner is worse than the last.

And Bettman was an Islander fan. I wonder how bad he would treat them if he was not a fan.

Its nuts what this team and its fans have endured. Unbelievable, I actually think I like Spano more than Wang
