Why do we have to include Moulson? How about this?

Grabner, Nino and a 1st round (4th pick) for 1st round pick (pick) and Gagnier

I would say great series by the blues, but that would be lying to the point of stupidity. Better luck next year to any blues fans, you have a ton to look forward too.

Blues have two backup goalies... And their fans were calling them vezina candidates.

Can't see the Oilers wanting Grabner.

I'd like the Oil to ask for Hamonic, can't really see the Islanders giving him up.

It would have to be Strome and the 4th or Nino and the 4th for Yakupov. I doubt many Islander fans want that, but if a deal like that doesn't get offered to Tambellini he just picks Yakupov.

The rosters are too similar in terms of needs. I don't see a deal getting made unless one or the other GM gets fleeced. If you get fleeced on a deal where you give up a #1, you get fired.

thats what killed their vezina chance. We have been lucky enough to face teams that have had injured key players. Sedin. Halak.

If only
Then trade roy to move up and get Galchenyuk
An Armia-Galchenyuk-Yakupov line would look pretty nice for a decade or so

Halak wouldn't have made a difference.
Sedin would have, but likely not enough to change the result.

Halak would have for sure made a difference. He could have stolen a game or two and then who knows. You might be right about sedin.

Calm down with the question marks. Yes, Strome. Strome and the 4th for the 1st and Musil is a fair deal. You don't seem to get that Sidney Crosby is not available in this draft. That's why I don't think a deal gets made at the draft. No one is going to give up much to move up in this draft because it's a relatively weak one. Good for EDM; they can get that elsewhere. Are the Islanders supposed to care about EDM when dealing with them? Oh, I guess since EDM needs D, we'll give them Hamonic now.
- isles10289

I laugh at your deal. I think unless it's a massive overpayment (as Tambo has already said) WE pick 1st over all not to worry.

I guess that makes him better than the rest of them he's also the only guy with trade rumors swirling around him.

He's lucky he was drafted by the Blackhawks and not a bottom feeder. Simple as that.

Nashville, huh? Hands are pretty full with the Quebec Nord- I mean Phoenix Coyotes right now. Isn't your arena less than half full during playoff games? Have fun with Radulov once Weber and/or Suter leave lol plus, there's so much to address, I won't even bother, except for the moving part. You obviously haven't even heard a thing about it, because there's a zero chance of them moving out of NY.

Just a quick note junior.
Colorado=Quebec
Phoenix=Winnipeg.

Your right..let me rephrase. Going by what I have seen and read, he won't be on the level of them. Great player? Yes. Guy you build a team around? No. Guy I would start trading the future cornerstone of our defense for? Definitely not.

Not a Russian hater by any means. Also, I'm 100% positive that Stamkos' 105pts in 61 games in his draft year are better than Yakupov's 69pts in 42 games.

I think that Tambo would seriously consider: Ryan Strome, Micheal Grabner, and 4th overall pick for 1st overall pick, Sam Gagner

The Oil continue to look for the 2nd line centre of the future - I just don't think they believe Gagner is it. Strome could be that guy. The Oil would be in a position to select another piece of the future, likely Ryan Murray - perhaps Dumba or Rielly if he's already gone. Two of Grabner/Paajarvi/Hartikinan could play in the top 6.

JT and the YAK would be amazing.....JT would love to have Gagner on his team...and he would thrive there.

Both teams need to improve their D....Edmonton is obviously ahead in this with the pick this year - as well as the prospects they have in the system.

This deal makes sense for both teams....

I'll bet. But in the context of the idea that the isles are TRYING to acquire the first, what would isles fans figure the offer would be?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may encounter a snag or two in drafting Ryan Murphy when Tambellini discovers that he was drafted by, and is under contract with, the Hurricanes as of last year.

I would make any reasonable deal that didn't have Tavares, Hamonic, and Strome included in it. Nino, 4th overall, and some upper-mid level prospect seems reasonable. The truth is the Oil would only be moving down to #4. Yes Yak is better than anyone, but there will be plenty of quality talent at #4. If you traded with someone considerably further down in the draft order I'd expect the haul to be much larger, in your favor.

I'd still rather keep the pick, unless Tambellini happens to be pounding back some Jack Daniels heavily on the day Snow calls and accepts a grand larceny-like offer.
