no question that was a dirty play by Giroux.

I don't understand how Giroux's play does not warrant a double minor or major. Zubrus was clearly hurt.

Should be a 1 game suspension. Definitely should have been a major.

They won't give him a suspension. He is a star player. Maybe if he left his feet then he could but I don't him getting suspended.

Pretty much a textbook hit of what the league wants out of the game. Blindside and targets the head and was a move made out of frustration. Definitely suspension worthy IMO, but something tells me they won't suspend a star player in the playoffs.

star player on a team that will likely be down 3 - 1. pretty doubtful he's suspended, but probably should be.

The result of the game could definitely have a huge impact on Shanny's decision.

full credit to the Devils ... they're still playing their hard forecheck game instead of clogging the neutral zone to protect a one goal lead.

of course, if this becomes 4 - 2 I'm sure we'll see it.

I'm hoping that maybe THIS offseason will be the year that the league finally adopts a standard for hits to the head. There has to be a consistent suspension for hits to the head, and repeat offenders shall be punished more severely. I also think that there needs to be a 2-3 man committee that decides on the suspension.

Clearly, the system they are using now is just not working. I feel that somebody is going to have a career ended real soon because of this. Oh wait.... I forgot Mark Savard had his ended. At least Matt Cooke was harshly punished. Oh wait....

Sitting back a bit, but to be honest all I care about is getting the win. How they get it isn't important at this point.

Wow. So much to say but I am so jazzed up it is going to take me some time to put all my thoughts together.

Plus there is that nagging feeling that the "other" Devil team can still rear its head. But man. The Devils have that "it" factor going right now man.

on behalf of killercam let me say that this series will probably not be a shoo in for the Flyers.

Congrats to the Devils. They have outplayed the Flyers in this series without question. It shows what a good system does when its executed properly. Hope you close this thing out in five.

A little too defensive for much of the third period, but they seemed to buckle down and play their brand of hockey from the 5 minute countdown and onward. Not sure that doing that against the Flyers can work everytime though. That being said... great win.

The Devils had the edge of the play for most of the game. Even in the first when they were down 2-0. the Devils were still the better team in terms of gameplay and possession. That level of forecheck just can't be denied over the course of 60 minutes.

Bryz didn't face a ton of high quality shots, but he still kept most of them out.

Everyone on NBCSports seems so bummed that the Devils are up in the series.
