the problem is we don't have the smartest team to ever lace 'em up.
- FlyerGuy

The Flyers are capable of putting the puck in the corner where Brodeur can't get to it. Thats one issue that can be resolved.

The main concern is our defense and getting the puck out of the zone easier. The other issue is the Flyers have had numerous breakdowns defensively. I have confidence that they can clean it up. They have to go into the next game playing all out as their season is pretty much on the line.

Honestly, don't think it's just a simple matter of him getting it going. Unlike the Pens, who for some reason let Giroux have all the time and space that he wanted, the Devils are shadowing him, two-man pressuring him, running a lot of interference and taking him down at every opportunity. They've created a real quagmire for Giroux and, as a result, his wingers are forced out of their usual positions to support him and are handling the puck more that usual, which has made defending that line much easier.
- Tomahawk

Giroux isn't facing anything that any other top player doesn't face. Giroux needs to step up his game and fight through it.

Its time for some Flyers to check their egos at the door, have a long video session tommorow and figure this out. The boys are off today but the coaching staff better be on their 5th pot of coffee
- Just5

They only need to look at video to see one thing. How they are being outworked. How the Devils are the more desperate and committed team. How they are stronger and quicker on the puck.

Flyers need a little "We came to wreck everything, and ruin your life" attitude.

By the way I hate that LA is doing so well.

The Kings are playing well right now and they have the best goalie in the league imo (even over Lundqvist).

So what's wrong with Couturier and Giroux? Giroux looks like he's fighting through a groin but Couturier, I can't explain it. I wanna say cramp? Whatever happened in that board battle, it didn't look serious until he lipped off.

Are their any words on changes in the line up? If Meszaros can go and if the coach is willing to show some faith in Kubina, I think it's about time we sit Lilja and Gustafsson. They've been a couple of good solders but they're starting to show signs of being this season's Parent/Bartulis and Krajicek.

Maybe I'm wrong but Timonen, Coburn, Carle, Grossmann, Meszaros and Kubina to me are the guys we're suppose to be successful with.

Just curious to why you think Giroux is fighting a groin injury?

Couturier's injury is being reported as a skate cut. I don't believe that Meszaros is ready to play. And Kubina may not play again in the playoffs.

Grossman has been the weakest link this series IMO

Grossmann hasnt been the same since the concussion. I think hes playing cautiously but not at full health. He isnt even playing physical which he was doing the entire time since the Flyers acquired him.

I watched the replay and it looks like he stretched out his leg, so it makes me think he strained, pull, or tore his hamstring. Thats just my thought.
