Anyone feel Lava is being out coached? For the most part the Flyers don't seem to have an answer to the Devil's pressure.

I know he was out dressed last night. And that's not easily done when you're competing with a guy like DeBoer. That horrid yellow and white striped tie better not see the light of day again.

I think he is a great coach, but he seems to be a step behind in this series.

The Flyers are spending too much time in their own end and need to figure out a way to break out of the zone easier. They dont get much of a forcheck going because if they dont get the puck deep correctly then Brodeur moves it up ice fast. The Flyers need to make adjustments but this series is still up for grabs.

Agreed that tie needs to go away, he needs to break out the orange ones.

Hey, FlyguyHI.

Technically, yes, a player could receive an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for diving, but you don't typically see this handed out to a goalie, especially not one with a sterling reputation like Martin Brodeur.

No argument - Brodeur will not get whistled for it. And while acknowledging the career Brodeur has had, even in an 'enemy' jersey, I shouldn't have to look at a future Hall of Famer and think of Dan Carcillo - cuz that was a total Carcillo move.

They can win his series no doubt, but adjustments need to be made. If Coots can't play I'd put Rinaldo in, they could use his energy.

They also need more Mad Max.

6yo? Wtf. Try looking at my location. Make sense now, "crimsoninja"? - obviously a very grown-up username unlike mine.

There are plenty of players on this team that need to take their game up another level. There is no excuse that the Devils are averaging over 3 goals per game.

It would be a great help if they were just quicker to the puck, or to make the pass, and/or to skate it out. For the most part they are too CASUAL about it. Their reactions in their own zone are pathetically slow.

When the Devils dump it in I see the Flyers look blankly at each other for a couple of seconds, until one of them decides to mosey over and retrieve the puck. In the meantime one Devils player hustles to it first, with another 2 or 3 sealing off the boards.

IF they would get their sense of urgency back, and start wanting the puck more than the Devils want it, the Flyers could probably count on 3 on 2's or 2 on 1's all game long as the Devils would be caught in deep.

From my perspective, one of the biggest things that is killing the Flyers is they keep trying to dump and chase, but Brodeur is getting to it and sending it away from the rushing forward before he gets there. You guys caught one break in game 1 like this, but it won't happen often.

If they want to gain the zone, Flyers need to softly send it into the corners instead of ringing it around the boards like they would against any other team.

I totally agree. Its not that complicated to put the puck into the corners were Brodeur cant get it. Dont make it harder than it has to be.

i think he was referring to the fact that you have been a user of the site for six years and it's the first time he has seen your name? not that you have the name of a six year old.
