didn't the habs just hire another team's exec as GM a week ago?
- dt99999

Didn't the Leafs ask to hire Burke while he was still a Duck?

For what? I think it's best they draft the best available prospect in their opinion, and add him to the mix than trading the pick away for a good player that will be here for 2-3 years and leave.
- stinger67

Until the young D's are ready to make the team and contribute (Tinordi, Beaulieu, Ellis and Pateryn), no need to rush things up. They have to get rid of Gomez and Kaberle, who knows how markov will be next year. Habs fans should not expect much for next year. Patience/Draft is the best way to go IMO

I like how the bandwagon is full on Galchenyuk fans now. How so many are saying he's going to be the better player in the draft.
WTF? Where are people getting this? He just missed a full season...how has he gained in any way on Yakupov?

- stormey

Size, versatility, vision.

It will sound ironic too, but Yakupov is more subject to injuries, due to his size and his style of play, see Taylor Hall.

Yup, but that don't matter, cause that didn't hurt their leaf feelings.

Yaku and Grigs are known to be very talented but work ethic isn't always there. galchenyuk is not as skilled but work ethic is his strength...according to scouts and/or bias journalists

Yakupov has a good work ethic.

Although the habs really need help up front prospects wise.
