i've seen bryz be lights out in phx and anaheim. he's done that a tiny bit here, but hasn't been enough to drag his team to victory, especially right now.
- hammarby31

Bryz hasnt been the same since the chip in the foot. He was like a human wall in March. The defense in this series has been brutal as well. I really dont have much confidence when the puck is in our zone. I have to hold my breath evey single possession.

i sure am. same age as jagr and martaaan. will be 40 in august. and i've never seen them win a gddamn cup. there's is literally nothing in this world i want more than that. nothing.
- hammarby31

I am 11 years younger and feel the same... I just dont feel 40 .. also Jagr has become a shell of himself. I say after this year cut sling load on him. He is really worn out

But this "quitting on the puck" or looking unfocused... did he do that there and still have the success he had, or is that a new thing here?

Isn't it surreal they were getting beat by Brodeur and Elias 12 years ago, and it's still happening now.
- PLindbergh31

elias has been a factor in games 2 and 3. brodeur isn't beating them. to be fair, the flyers went 8-2, in the 2 prior series with younger versions of both players.

I agree I dont think I resign Jagr unless he is going to take a paycut and according to Bill Meltz thats not happening.

True, taking away the beer and letting the party boys drink smirnoff ice has done wonders for their play

he does have 8 points so far in the playoffs, so it's not like he's done nothing, but i feel like he's really lost several steps from the pittsburgh series.

i have mixed feelings on his return next season.

that i can't say. didn't watch enough of him prior to his being a flyer to really make that assessment.

Good point. Flyers defeated a 31 year old Brodeur in 2004 with Bob Esche.

If guys over 40 didn't count on the cap... sign him up I'm not so sure either, and a couple weeks ago I really wanted to keep him. But they really look like they need some more speed on the backend IMO, and they'll need money to do it.

Lavi needs to put Wellwood out on the ice more. The guy was all over the ice and competing all night long. This kid has a bright future with this club.

It's just sports. It supposed to be entertainment, not life and death. That being said, it sure would be nice to see them win.
