Remember in minor hockey at tournements when someones mom would always provide oranges between games. I wonder whose mom is bringing them in for this marathon. |

Paul Martin for the Oilers 1st overall this year...great trade for both, Pens get Yakupov and Oilers get their #1 defenseman they have been missing |

Certainly, that injury is just as devastating as an ACL tear, perhaps more. |

Yea, they'll be good competition. They've given us problems in the past. If Dalton has an even better year this year I might go with the Bengals. Their defense is only getting better too. |

Not sure Benson has another year like he did last. This leads me to believe that defenses will focus more on Dalton making his second year a bit harder. Obviously I am biased on the fact and that I can't believe the Bengals could possibly put two straight seasons together of above average play. |

I still think they play with fire with the giveaways. Their d men have been caught on 2 min shifts a few times.
But overall they really find a groove. - Gunner Staal
Amazing how solid the Caps have been overall given that two of their d-men (Wideman/Green) are turnover machines in their own zone (the book about hitting Green early and often was written long ago and unfortunately is still effective). I have to say, after the frustrating season, I didn't see a solid playoff run coming. It does help that Backstrom is back -- he is terrific.
BTW, I will be seeing that Brouwer missed layup (after Hendricks destroyed McDonaugh and fed a wide-open Brouwer) in my nightmares if the Caps lose this series. |

If they weren't "the Bengals", I think most would view them as a legit threat in the AFC. It's just tough to get your head around the Bengals actually being good and not doing stupid stuff. |

Lets be honest though, if there ever was an easier position to replace than RB, I would love to know what it is. Steeler fans should know this better than anyone (Willie Parker). |

Backstrom is terrific. And Green, well, I don't have many nice things to say about him, I think he stinks, and it isnt only on the defensive side. Offensively he takes huge windups from the point and gets them blocked, but not just normal blocked, blocked where it comes out of the zone and an aware forward could side step the flat footed Green for an odd man rush, it almost cost them last night 3rd/1OT cant remember which. |

It is amazing how irrelevant great running backs have become. I can't see why anyone would invest a first round pick in one, it seems like they only last a handful of years at best, and you can seemingly interchange them, with little or no dropoff. |

33% of the Bills 1st round draft picks the last 9 years have been RB's and they wonder why they have sucked. |

yeah especially as more and more teams are shifting to committees in the backfield, and having specialized runners for third down and goal line and all. sure as hell makes a stud back all the more valuable in fantasy football though haha |

Green looked terrible last night. He seemed to show interest in playing the game. |
