Apart from one bad goal he let in on Richards, Luongo was fine, huge at times. The switch to Schneider was basically to light a fire under the team, and, if AV didn't at least try Schneids, the Vancouver fans/media would want him crucified even more than they already do.

Cory had earned his shot and the team was sucking pretty bad. Can't change 18 guys, so that leaves the goalie. It worked and the team played better. Cory played so well that you couldn't take him back out.

Just curious, do you refs have a private lounge that you complain about posters?


Kinda like a teachers lounge but different.

That's certainly a more favorable lens, but I look at all this post mortem stuff - AV, Gillis, Luongo, Hodgson... I see guys more concerned with their own jobs than the greater good here. And as a Sabres fan, I'd know.

I think we all understand that there is some level of self-preservation/jobs/egos here.

Garth, this blog was just another level of the piling on.

As a Canucks fan, I hate to see anyone not want to be in Vancouver. Must have been hard for both sides and there is blame to go around. Gillis only told the tip of the iceberg and your reaction was too defenesive.
