Yup. I thought we were rocky to start but really settled down and our defense helped to control the game. Greene and Zidlicky were both very good IMO, although Zid really needs to try and cut down on the penalties.

I think without Kovalchuk there the Flyers didn't really have their assignments down exactly. I don't think our power play is that tricky in general but we had more movement, even if it was movement behind the net, we still got things going.

Quite frankly I don't think we need Kovalchuk right now. We just need stronger team play than the Flyers to be competitive. We don't need a turnover machine. I think you look at tonight's game you see a lot less turnovers and a lot less Flyers chances. They were killing us on the counter attack.

Take it from somebody that knows, the Flyers have a hell of transition game. Like you said, avoid the turnovers and play solid team D. Get as many puck on Bryz and he'll fold. If Kovalchuk comes back he should get the OV treatment.....

im curious to see what killercam thinks about the goalies tonight, i mean clearly brodeur outplayed him as he only gave up 1 goal and won, which is the only determining factor

Refs were awful and one sided again. That one Flyers goal shouldn't have even counted. Simmons went through the crease and bumped into Brodeur.

the simmonds call/non-call was fine, it was a goal


i honestly dunno where zubrus interfered but its a mute point now, it may even give us more confidence on the pk as we killed every one off with few shots, including a 6 on 4
